Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

This prof Jeffrey Sachs is a dummbacke. Putin pays good. That’s why he spews repeatedly shit. Same shit from McGregor, Scott Ritter, many others. They use the same phrases over and over again. Ukraine must surrender immediately, better today than tomorrow because no chance.
Its a valid perspective from one side.

Instead of just spewing abuse at the people making those arguments, could you be so kind as to articulate WHY you disagree with them?

Ukraine dead, arab dead: all are equally bad. Stop making one out to be more victim than the other.
Thank you.

This is why I asked members to leave aside emotions and focus solely on objective discussions.

There will be claims from both sides and propaganda from both sides.

Instead of engaging in insults, personal attacks and emotional arguments, members need to offer logical rebuttals and counter arguments if they disagree with any particular source or claim.

So they fight, and they get supported in that fight.
The decision to support them with American taxpayer money might be something you support - I don’t, and I and many others will continue to argue against sending hundreds of billions of US taxpayer money to Ukraine while people at home struggle with sky rocketing healthcare and education costs, student debt and underfunded schools and infrastructure.

Russia shows no shortage of ammunition in intense Eastern Front battles

Russia does not face a shortage of ammunition, according to Yevlash. Russia launches tens of thousands of projectiles every day towards Ukrainian positions on the Eastern front.

EU’s drive to supply Ukraine with artillery shells moving slower than planned

The European Union's ammunition supply program for Ukraine is proceeding slowly, with the country receiving less than 250,000 out of the promised million artillery rounds, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said on Aug. 30, as reportedby German outlet Tagesschau.

Pevkur noted that EU countries have transferred only 226,000 artillery rounds to Ukraine under the project to deliver a million rounds by the end of 2023.

According to him, Ukraine produces about 6,000 rounds a day, while Russia produces between 60,000 to 70,000 at peak times.

A person online months ago said the Russian losses in artillery posted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense includes mortars. So there is less destroyed howitzers than believed by many.

Russia is holding back and waiting to strike Ukraine hard in large scale missile strikes in tit for tat. When Ukraine hits Russia, Russia hits back in a response. Russia is holding back her full military might against Ukraine for a long war.

For instance, if Ukraine totally destroys the Crimean Bridge, expect a major response from Russia.

Ukrainian artillery, drones, and missiles save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. Destroying the Russian war machine at range means Ukrainians are spared of heavy losses by artillery softening Russian front line positions. Drones and Missiles hitting logistics and supplies. These make winning easier on front line soldiers, with less losses.

Watch this:

Then watch this:

The Ukrainian counter-offensive is slow not from targeting supply lines that feed the front lines of Russia, it is slow because of lack of overwhelming air and missile power to destroy the front lines of Russia. And not enough endless supply of artillery rounds to compensate for the lack of air power. So you have Ukrainian mobile units slowly making progress to not suffer huge losses and lose the relatively small amount of armored units Ukraine has.

Ukraine needs ATACMS and F-16s. F-16s with bombs in comparable numbers used in the Gulf War.

After The Soviet Union invaded Poland and annexed Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. After the Soviets invaded Finland... the UK gave Moscow thousands of tanks, guns, planes and ammo because the crushing defeat of Germany was of great importance to London.

Russia invades Ukraine, and rapes over 100.000 women, girls, men and boys.

Ukraine investigates 93,000 cases of sexual abuse against civilians

The National Police of Ukraine has received 93,000 calls from victims of sexual abuse committed by Russian troops since February 2022, says Serhii Nizhynskyi, the adviser of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna.

Not every rape victim reports, many hundreds or thousands were killed after being raped. Meaning over 100.000 victims of rape in Ukraine.

Though Ukraine defending from rapist thugs gets 14 Challenger 2 tanks and dozens more promised. A total joke.

Compared to thousands of tanks and planes made for the WW2 war effort and given to the rapist USSR. UK wanted Germany destroyed. That was a total war effort.

In total, the U.S. deliveries to the USSR through Lend-Lease : over 400,000 jeeps and trucks; 12,000 armored vehicles (including 7,000 tanks, about 1,386 of which were M3 Lees and 4,102 M4 Shermans); 11,400 aircraft (of which 4,719 were Bell P-39 Airacobras, 3,414 were Douglas A-20 Havocs and 2,397 were Bell P-63 Kingcobras) and 1.75 million tons of food.

US liberal media should be cover one rape story every day, letting the TV viewers know there are hundreds of thousands of cases. Along with one story such as this every day:

A little girl had to learn to walk again due to the stress she experienced during the Russian bombing of Mariupol

And then telling media viewers that with enough weapons, Ukrainians can take back their country. Informing TV watchers that children are disappearing into Russia from occupied regions with some likely disappearing to human traffickers. Russian victories only bring horrors to the Ukrainians. Ukraine retaking Ukraine bring liberation and freedom to the Ukrainian people.

Except the US and UK don't want their public filled with rage and hatred of Russians. That would get out of hand and go completely against the agenda of send little, drag your feet, and force Ukraine to negotiate. As Kissinger wants. As Elon Muscovy wants.

Ukraine is fighting against Russian evil and needs US and UK support in the same magnitude as the Lend Lease to the Soviet Union. Since this is not going to happen, the EU member states need to do a massive rearmament for themselves and to support Ukraine.

The 1.5 million children who fled Ukraine are at risk of human trafficking

The disappearance of children into Russia is the largest threat of human trafficking to Ukrainian children.

Please tell me how Javelin anti tank missile supposed to fix the american education system?

Does the Javelin cost money to manufacture?

If yes, who’s paying for it, any why should Ukraine, out of all the conflicts and issues in the world, be prioritized for spending American taxpayer money?
The US taxpayers just dont want to pay taxes. The average american has donated $10 per month to Ukraine in this entire conflict if the donations were actually given directly to Ukraine. But most of it end up in the US anyway, because productions of equipment and weapons create jobs and revenue in the US.
The average european is donating the same amount, and it is extremely cheap being able to watch Putin humiliated for $10 per month.

The current prevalent might of the US has its roots in WWII. Yes industrialization and innovation played a role, but it decided to make some decisions after the destruction of WWII. A lot of gold reserves of ‘Allies’ countries went to the US to pay for their war efforts abd supplies before it joined the war post Dec 1941. Once it joined, its economic might and military strength kicked in.

Post WWII , it built an eco system of allies powered economically: first via Marshall Plan (and equivalent in Asia) to rebuild the economies. ANd then link the economies with industrialization. In Asia this was by virtue of the semi conductor industry/memory chips in late 60s/70s to where there was shared prosperity and economic interdependence (not domination).

US did it because either by accident or by deliberate choice it took advantage of the situation in WWII to put itself in this dominant situation. Either way, it seems you are US a taxpaywer, the reason for disporportionate influence and prosperity beyond its size is because this web of interdependent countries and economies.

This is who the US is and continues to do here in Ukraine. Its consciously choosing world influence/domination continuity over everything else.

Much like how it did in WWII and every decade since then.

So while I respect to your opinion, but had those opinions prevailed in WWII (keep isolated) and since then when the world got off gold reserve to support currency nd focus inwardly on schools/health, THEN, US would have been a fraction of the country it is now AND would not have wielded the disprpoprtionate economic prosperity that middle class and up Americans benefit from.

So more Javelins and Patriots will have to continue to be produced to maintain US influence and supremancy

The average MAGA supporter has donated $10 to an orange faced baboon with no morals, they can pay $10 towards Ukraine and stop going to Starbucks for two days to make up

Jeffrey Sachs is a leftist like another leftists. They have the same world view. When he is getting older he begins self transformation. He hates America the country he was born. He embraces China, Russia radical ideas. Ukraine is a country that does not exist. The west must stop weapons delivery immediately Ukraine should come under Russia gulags. A victory over Russia is unthinkable he says such idea is reckless.

Interestingly when coming to Ukraine, US, Russia the leftists and rightists share the same view. There is a term in German for this “die Querfront”.

Unless the plan is to have an endless war, these are short term gains, not long term investments or permanent job creation to support sustained demand.

And again, regardless of how much it averages out per individual taxpayer, we have a massive staffing shortage in our public schools with underpaid teachers, bus drivers and other staff.

For me, this ‘$10 per person’ is far better spent addressing critical shortfalls at home instead of funding another geo-political dick measuring contest that will result in potentially hundreds of thousands dead and cost the global economy trillions in direct and indirect costs.
