Russia-Ukraine War - News and Developments PART 2

Well I will say that the Ukrainian’s have managed to stop the Russian juggernaut in a meat grind. They have averted being overrun in the start of the war to being a war of attrition. But war attrition is long, slow and bloody. However time seems to be now on the Ukrainian side as a long campaigns do not go well with an aggressor army. The economics of defensive warfare is low as compared to aggression. You can defend with a small well trained gorilla army and still win strategically like the Taliban did to US. Strategically this will become a gross error on which Russia if not stops, the recovery is going to be painful. For Russia , the only way forward now is to retreat and consolidate. Re engaging if they want needs to be calculated again. Russia should not go down the Vietnam or Afghanistan route as it does not have the economical backings to support that route.
The BIG problem for Russia is, they need to get the entire Ukraine before they can go into defensive mode, otherwise it's always risk that an organise offensive that's going to bust up the party. Which mean before this can happen, Russia is going to bleed resource and money in a rate that's going to be multiple fold what Ukraine needs.

And it's a long road even if we are talking about this point. That is probably the best description that the Russian is facing now.

The capital city Kramatorsk is only like 30 km from Bakhmut. It'll be within Tornado-S range. It'll be devastating for the city.

Goddamn Bakhmut spoiled their plans. If they only were smarter to detour Bakhmut 7 months ago , today they would be in Berlin!!!

Ok so they haven’t been putting everything on the line and going all out up until this point?
Your words not mine.

So angry, sounds like jealousy

He has and there is no point of return...

No matter what the Western world says, Russia will continue to fight until all objectives are met.

It doesn't work like that.
In military advances one army has to go/confront head on, otherwise flanking by enemy or cutting off routes can seriously make outcome from winning to defeat.
Bakhmut lets put that way is castle to be reckoned with, if you defeat Bakhmut than you take Kiev + remaining Ukrainian armed forces easily.

The Russians are too lazy. That’s primitive dragon teeth, a cheap clone of Germany deutsche westwall. Those stones are just planted on earth surface. Not digged in. That’s kindergarten. Ukraine pioneers can push them away easily.
Germans dig them half to one meter deep into the earth. To remove them you need heavy machinery.

That's not how military works.......

We don't fight WW2 style anymore, today you attack the road and the weak point of an enemy oppposition and then leave troop in place to seize the city, you can't defend an area if you don't have ways to supply your troop.

You don't want Bakhmut, you attack and surround the city, not the city itself, I mean Bakhmut is a small city, with 70,000 pre-war population, the road to Karamotok is littered with 6 or 7 Bakhmut type small city, if you attack them all head on, it would be 5 years before you reach Kramatosk.......Not to mention the defensive line in between.
