The best policy is energy independence, military strength (Europe wasted a year in not building hundreds of arms factories), and economic powerhouse.
The problem is there are few completely smart people in Europe. By design, if you don't like the USA, you are funneled to be a stupid Putinite, a pawn of the Russia Republican cia. If you want economic growth, you are funneled to support low military spending. If you want energy independence, you are opposed to other good ideas. If you want a strong militaries, you are fooled that the USA would save Europe. There are few in Europe that have it 100% right. And you need to be 100% right to defeat the schemes of cia Washington, Brexit London and Putin Moscow.

Look at the chart, the "make China the factory of the globe", was at the expense of Europe, not the USA. German engineering, German export economy. China rose, Europe was left behind with crisis after crisis. USA used China to keep down rival. Trump was tasked with the shut down mission on China to loot China to the USA. This is why Europeans cannot side with the USA over China. Let China and USA sleep in the same bed they made.
First, have European and global jobs go to China. Secondly, have Trump shut down China. Finally, those global jobs go to the USA and USA new partners. Keep down USA rival China. Keep down USA rival Europe. So to prevent this, promoting anti-Republican agenda is vital. Though the USA has this covered, with Trumper Putin saying Putin is the leader and the face of anti-Americanism. So Putinism, leads to Americanism.
The objective is to gain military supremacy, economic supremacy and political supremacy over overt foes Russia, China and the USA. And trust the USA never again.
