The Russian Federation is legally not a successor of the Russian Empire.
That is because the Soviet Union announced at its formation that it was a new entity, to avoid paying the debts of the Russian Empire.
You cannot have the cake and eat it too.

It would have been more effective if they put a new version on the App store which was time limited. Once most Russian users upgraded, it should disable itself.

They massively cut spending, let their usually strong FX control go down, double digit rates, and overall they agreed to massive degradation of day to day life of most Russians.

And they have not went 100% with the mobilisation, leaving the breathing room for the labour force.

Nor they completely closed off foreign trade, to let a trickle of consumer goods keep the consumer economy going belly up completely.



By far, the most active Ukrainian nationalist movements were birthed by the East Ukraine, and not even by Russian speaking Ukrainians, but actual ethnic Russian Ukrainians, who lived there for 2-3 generations.

Putin presses money out of state companies. He let the money printing press to run full speed. He sells out forex. He sells oil and gas to everyone with deep discounts that buy. There is no much more options.

Full mobilization requires Putin to declare war on Ukraine. No more special military ops shit. The question is if and when.

Germany wants to buy back 96 leopards 2 from the Swiss. They will be refitted by Rheinmetall and then replenished for NATO tank armies. Or, sending direct to Ukraine.
Will be 3 more tank battalions.
The Swiss don’t need those tanks. The possibility Putin’s army reaches the border of Switzerland is close to 0.

This is far more better than the german train company DB AG in its best days (long ago) ! Maybe we in Germany should let manage our trains by Ukrains cause Ukrains can keep running trains even there is no electricity (what is also a Problem we have in Germany) :partay:

from Paksitan point of view a peaceful settlement should be adapted.
