We know that the fire bricks that was used to insulate the boilers failed during the sea trial but we don't know the reason yet as to why. If the bricks are not suited for the use as insulation material then you have a huge problem on you're hands and all of the fire bricks on the 8 boilers will have to be removed and replaced with alternative material. But if its about the lining of the bricks during the construction then thats a different matter that means they only have to fix the 3 damaged boilers which is a far less daunting task. Since the other 5 boilers seems to be working just fine i would guess its the latter.

Note to the MOD: Can you please merge all of the Vikramaditya related threads into a single thread so that is easier to have a overview of the history. And in the future all Vikramaditya related issue's can be posted there. And can you also do the same for the Chinese carrier threads.

No we don't need a ship like this. This AC is too small for the Chinese navy, and it was never even designed to be a real AC in the first place. It can only carry a very small number of Mig-29s which means it won't even fit the J-15s. If we get them, we might as well turn it into a real casino...

Real casino or Real hotel is good, a war toy that can make money is not a bad idea, we chinese are alway want to defy the odd .

Russia will probably repair it with another batch of Chinese bricks, and then have the Indians pay for it. Or they'll keep the ship.
