Even u have mig 21 copies in ur AF and same U.S provides you f-16 who tries to align with us and even fielded f-16 in mmrca..

Question here is to have better and advance inventory which we have n try to maintain wrt neighbors.

So many people/countries have already spit on Pakistani faces so regularly, that one more case of self spitting is no big deal for them...

RD93 sales for the JF 17 you mean right? - the engines were sold to China - the overseas customers could have been anyone from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Algeria and of course Pakistan who is already a client.

What we can see overall is that it was India's objection and Russia explaining to India the reasons behind it. The engines were sold to China and China did not have a capable engine for their product. The deal was between China and Russia and India does not have a say in it. Russia did not sell anything directly to Pakistan and you can very well buy old Russian hardware from their customers and no way we can point to Russia or blame them for it.
So, India could do very little in that matter.

So you mean to say that Pakistan can purchase SU-30MKK from Indonesia, if both these countries agree to the sale, and that Russia would have no say at all? Can Pakistan sell her F-16's or any other US product with explicit US permission? You must be a simpleton.

Come on guys, doesn't the pakistanis believe in the caliphate and talibans their true epitome ? Isn't that why they uphold the uprooting of Russians from afganisthan as a mark of victory for Islam rather than recognizing it as a local fight against foreign aggression. With all this sh!t they expect russians to sell them weapons ? ROFL !!

Heights of delusion and utter tripe.

It became jihad when Russia invaded a 'Muslim' country. Once they withdrew, there was nothing else that anybody wanted.

A component sale is different from a machine sale. Its like for say the example like India buying GE404 engines but not an American plane or US buying certain components from China for cheap price as replacement to their systems or GE selling engine to China's transport planes. etc etc..

India-Russia cultural fiesta Oct 24-Nov 4

NEW DELHI: Cultural ties between India and Russia have got a boost with the signing of a protocol between both the countries for a festival to be held Oct 24- Nov 4 in New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.

The pact was signed by Indian Council For Cultural Relations (ICCR) Director General Suresh Goel and Russian Deputy Minister of Cultural Relations A. Busygin at Azad Bhavan late Monday evening.

"The Russian festival of culture is a response to the Indian artists and officials who visited Russia in 2011 for a similar festival. Russia will host yet another festival of Indian culture in 2013 as a reciprocal gesture," Goel said.

The copy of the pact made available said Russia will bring to India "soloists from the Bolshoi, Marinsky and Mikhailovsky Theatres, St Petersburg folk ensemble 'Barynya'" - the troupe of the Russian Academic Youth Theatre and a photography exhibition.

The festival will end with a ballet gala at Siri Fort Nov 1.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations will provide hospitality to 65 artists during the festival.

"We will get several high quality groups from Russia. An exhibition of art and photographs is an important aspect of the festival because it will connect Russian art to the Roerich estate (in Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh)," Goel told IANS.

The Roerich estate in Himachal Pradesh has 8,000 artifacts, including 37 rare paintings by the Russian painter-thinker, who settled in India to paint Himalayan landscapes.

The ICCR has several international festivals on its agenda this year and the next to bolster cultural ties with countries like Germany, Australia and Canada, the director general said.

"We are trying out several new initiatives in cross-cultural exchanges to create a common language," Goel said.

"At the opening of the Delhi International Arts Festival (DIAF) Oct 26, we will get Qawaal groups from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan and host them with dervishes (Sufi dancers) from Turkey at the Purana Qila. The two things that India shares with South Asia and West Asia are Sufism and qawaalis," he said.

Sufism has developed in each country in different ways, he said.

The director general said that "the Russian festival was also a similar initiative to explore the connections and commonalities between the cultures of India and Russia, both of which have rich cultural inheritances".

Jf-17 with Russian engines are a reality and always have been.. India would have objected if that deal would have been between russia and pak. But it was a deal between Russia and China and we don't meddle in the affairs of chinese

What a load of BS!!

You cried your eyes out, tried every possible way to stop sales......but, you failed.

Very true.

for the timebeing we must be ok with component sale

Like I have said why should india object to Russia selling Pakistan via China old and outdated engines?

LOL.....

Non of these are offensive weapons or weapons at all that is a fact.

You Pakistanis talk big but facts are few and far between and the really of this talk never seems to happen.

The day when Russia starts selling you AESA radars, hypersonic cruise missiles, stealh frigates, 5th gen fighters etc then open your big mouths.

Well, even if Russia sells us AESA radars and we actually decide to purchase them, you will state that they are not weapons and technically they are not! But why in the hell would we be interested in any hypersonic cm when we have much better in-house stealth cm capability? Why should we be interested in purchasing any 5th gen fighter from Russia when China offers an even more advanced Jet on mutually beneficial terms?

LOL.....

depends on quality ,capability an price ,chinese jets are far behind,in this aspect

How many 'wills' will you end up with by the time LCA is actually inducted, if at all?

as many as you want.. Unlike what Thunder is for PAF, LCA is not the lynchpin of our air force doctrine. So we can do whatever we want with its schedule and IAF can be as picky as they want with their evaluation of LCA.. OTOH, with no one selling to Pakistan on credit, your airforce has no other recourse but to live with the low cost low end Chinese jet in an as is where is form... Though I still wonder what has kept the inducted count of JF 17 at a figure of approx 30 even after 3 years of serial production

China not gonna offer u at free ,pakistan have to pay for it......or by taking soft loan from china....

But none of China's front line aircrafts are yet operational on a chinese engine..including FC1/JF 17

The J-11 does apparently use Chinese engines.

As for export variants like FC-1 or even FC-20, they'd be using Russian engines for a long time. Manufacturing turbofan engines just isn't their strength.

And yes, they still import Russian engines for spares.

Go back 30 years and you will see USA supplying stuff to Pakistan exactly on the same lines of what China is doing today.. Pakistan did not understand the concept of deferred payments then, and it does not understand it now.. Pakistan is paying for those American freebies of 1960-1990 since last 10 years..We will witness the payment schedule of Chinese as well in a couple decades..
