Russia orders army to prepare for war as UK and west have crossed redline

Not really the weakness of both comes from there lack of alliances

You have too much rocks in your head to think straight. You form alliance when you are short on manpower and money. China with 1.5 Billion people, with massive wealth and largest standing Military on this planet is more than a match. And with Russian Military and nukes, the balance favours these two, not Nato. Ukraine won't last 24 hour if Russia decides to launch an assault.

The population could become a potential deployment pool but not all 1.5bil can automatically or magically be formed into an army and besides nobody has equipment to equip that many people..

China has around 15-20m if you include the army + reservers + militias + police forces where as Russia can gather only 3-4m and that is with calling back old veterans etc etc. They could in return run into 100-150m armed forces coalition out there.. It is a freaking jungle they will get overwhelmed in such scenario that is like 7-8 times more then what they can gather and to be honest that number is even on the lower end in my estimation meaning I am being conversative. It will not become a picnic

100 million??? Na dude, not possible.

You can't have untrained, hungry, weaponless commoners lined up to fight.  We are not living in the age of VIKINGS !

Russians have too many cards. Example, Just stopping gas to Europe will have a devastating impact on the whole of Europe. They will probably go to dark ages for a few months.

Russians are being TOO LENIENT and that is why they will loose for being too Lenient.

I am not saying these people are untrained but trained professional armed forces. if example say vs the NATO + multiple other coalitions scenario.. My numbers are on the lower end cause I was being extremely conservative.. But either way they will be able to field or gather other cannon fodders so that shouldn't be an issue to balance things out somewhat

nope. not really. you do that so that others can die for you while you remain strong and safe, and then you can move in and wipe the floor with a weakened enemy.

since this is a thread about NATO, Russia and USA, this approach is very much applicable here.

OK J Biden said the same !!! and Ukrainian president also replied to Biden a war is war neither short invasion or big now happy dear.

My happiness has nothing to do with the fact that the The Sun news outlet is as good a news source as a paparazzi magazine.

As for the current American president, well he is as credible as his memory serves him. That is of course, when he is not dozing off every other hour of the day.

One side effect of Ukraine is we may see if the S400 is good or not - of if Ukraine blows it apart when the shooting war starts .....

Anyways, Blinken met Lavrov yesterday at Blinken's request. He went there and begged Lavrov to give US more time to respond to the Russians demands and to force Ukraine to implement Minks agreement.
In other words, Ukraine will be pushed under the bus.

In US-Russia/China great power confrontations, it is usually US small/expendable allies that suffer and bear the brunt when there seems to be no other option but military action.

We have seen this so often recently, it got boring as Biden trying to spell democracy.

You're living in the past. Current geopolitics puts Ukraine at the center of Europe's future.

Past is what makes present and the present defines future. If you think that Russia would let go of Ukraine just like that, you are dreaming. This is just like Russia backing IRA to separate from the UK or Guam trying to move away from the US and inviting Chinese. Do you think that the Americans or British would tolerate it? They will use everything in their strategy books to ensure that they retain these territories.

Ukraine has an undeniable link to Russia culturally, historically and emotionally. Every country has a red line that it will not let anyone cross no matter what.

Biden is just sleepy.
