Russia offers Pakistan for exporting 5000MW electricity

If you read news, you would be clear. Besides exporting, they will send their team to Pakistan to invest in Coal Projects i.e. Gadani, Thar, and Jamshoro.

I agrees with nuclear pak……
GOP needs to focus on home grown power genration projects and Invite Russians to invest in wind,solar,hydral and nuclear power projects…

If we can get Electricity for Cheap from those Hydel Power Plants, cheaper than it costs us to burn oil & produce it & that we have reasonable assurance of uninterrupted supply & no politicking - I think this could be a good project !

we are already suffering from fiscal deficit..meaning our imports are too high..do you know why we went to IMF..because of imports..otherwise our debt isnt too much high.

now the whole problem of our economy is too much imports, on top which we are adding more imports that are not necessary
we have wind water coal ..why should we import from else where
so buying electricity from outside for 5 cents is bigger problem for us then producing home grown power for 10 cents

there are thousands of MW of small hydro projects that are feasible in KPk

Correct me if I m wrong but Quality of Thar Coal is not suitable for electricity generation ......

its of Sub-bituminous coal to bituminous coal. i.e viable for generation but not viable for other purposes
