What's new

Russia 'not worried' over India buying arms from US: Kadakin

dont under estimate the russian technology ...
take for S-400 its the best BMD in the world superior to partiot3
and in the field of subs u can never beat them ..............
now us is poweful because it invested in the 1990-2000 period which gave the fruits now similarly russia has invested in 2000-2010 now see one by one russian products

1) Empty claims

2) Which Russian sub is better?

Anyway both S-400 and the Russian subs are legacy platforms from the SU period. What has Russia made new since the SU broke up?

U.S a Friend.......But Russia Is more than a Friend.......a trustworthy partner of ours since independence.....

Good to See Russian Ambassdor Ackowledge India as a GREAT FRIEND/ALLY and a rising super power.

The days of Russia or indeed USA/Europe dictating how and what india can buy are WELL AND TRUELY OVER.

Indian $billions are spent but indians demand TOT and license manufacture. The indians are having a BIG SAY with wat they want.

Well said...there is a limit to which you can keep upgrading soviet era stuff to keep it in touch with mordern western tech. Eventually you need to make new things.

Very soon there will be nothing Russia can offer India..except the Pak-Fa and jet engine technology.

Russia does not need to offer India anything. We have what we need, true friendship. What they did for us back in time is nothing compared to a few defense deals. I hope that one day we are able to help them like they helped us. Everything else is just business.

The T-50???

Yup the T-50 we will see how that goes

The others being the Bulava missile..failure after failure there and the Borei class sub(again we will see how that goes)

They have made nothing else new the last 20 years.

those were Russian subs who keep busy USS Enterprise in 1971

and it was US pressure which led Russia not give us cryogenic tech for space missions , however Russian provided the engine if not tech.

so many stories ,,,
but over all ..
US could be a friend seeing now India is growing
but Russia/SU is friend from the time when we needed someone to help us

Ind US relation cant be compare in term of Ind Russia relation ship

As Avatar said, Russia does not need to offer India anything. We have what we need, true friendship and it is also true that those were Russian subs who keep busy USS Enterprise in 1971 ,and it was US pressure which led Russia not give us cryogenic tech for space missions , however Russian provided the engine if not tech. more , It was only Russia that didn,t impose any sanction upon drdo, bel isro after 1998 atomic explosion by india
And Russia have many new and ultramodern tech that many big western countries don,t have
e.g.
supersonic propulsion for c. m.
stealth fighter like pak fa( apart frm usa only russia is only cntry which can design develop and field fighters of this weight category)
heaviest nuk sub
ultra modern subs like lada and amur class
radars for detecting stealth fighters exp: IBRIS
supersonic passenger jet
TVC equipped fighter

and Above all russia treates India as abest friend and always offers best technology to india.:cheers::tup::tup::tup:

The S-400 is just now being introduced, and is radically different from previous air defenses. As for Russian submarines being legacy platforms from the Soviet Union, that just shows your ignorance in the subject. The Borei class submarine is Soviet? Or the Yasen class? What about the Lada class? Still Soviet.

What has Russia made that is new? Lets see...

KA-52, yak-130, Steregushchy class corvettes, S-400, Topol M,
GAZ-2975, BTR-90, Ka-60, SU-34, Admiral Sergey Gorshkov class frigate (under construction), Gepard class frigate, R-77 RVV-SD, SU-35bm, Mig-35, Mig-29K and no they are not the same as the standard SU-27 and Mig-29, T-90, Too many Tor and S-300 variants, Baluva, ZHUK-AE, RD-33MK, 117S, Irbis-E......there is more but by now you should get the point, you should also now that there are many projects underway as well as many projects such as cruisers, submarines ect that are under construction.

The last test was a success and have you ever heard of the American THAAD? When the THAAD was in demonstration phase it failed 7 out of 11 tests and no one said a word but when the Baluva failed 7 out of 14 tests everyone and their grandmother started gossiping.

They have made nothing else new the last 20 years.

That claim has been destroyed.

Its you.

Russia reently built Borei class SSBN. Which SSBN you built recently???

Anyway both S-400 and the Russian subs are legacy platforms from the SU period.

Both S-400 and Borei are new platforms just inducted recently.

What has Russia made new since the SU broke up?
Almost everything. Few examples: Topol-M, Bulava, Borei, S-400 etc.

BOOM. I was wondering when you would butt in, ptldM3:D

I gave you the Borie class as the only completely new design. The S-400 is a continuation of a legacy platform. The Lada class is the old Kilo..the Yasen the old Akula. What part of "new" platform did you not understand.

What has Russia made that is new? Lets see...

KA-52, yak-130, Steregushchy class corvettes, S-400, Topol M,

I missed the Gorshkov class. Other than that the rest are just improvements on existing soviet designs ..the Mig-29K(first flight 1988),the Su 34(first flight 1990) seriously? These are the "new" platforms?
Surprised you did not add Admiral Gorshkov to your list as the new aircraft carrier Russia has built!!

Difference being that the THAAD is futuristic technology...the Bulava certainly not.

That claim has been destroyed.

No it has not.
