Russia lifts embargo on weapons supplies to Pakistan

Sbr karo bahi we would like to see good weapons but Mi-35 is something I dislike, Mi-28 NE yes!

I am sure it would be a positive strategic buy; russia opening up is a big news which also means better Engines for JF-17s in long run as well as further upgrades of T-80UD.
Let's see how it goes. we have been negotiating for every attack chopper out there in the market. I think that's because PA wants to get the best chopper our limited funds can buy.

finally about time we move ahead :D

I was waiting for this one ever since our cobras started aging !!!!!!

any info on the quantity ?????? the strings attached ??????

we should bear in mind that india is a strong ally of russia, as long as their relations do not affect this deal i call it a whopper

Its a flying tank and most safe heli to land our soldiers while blasting ttp at the same time
Considering the size of this machine, it seems it can carry soldiers along with weapon payloads. Am I right ?

bless you my dear... will talk to you soon about other interviews stuff I have in line.
this is great news. hope we see the delivery by next year if not this year.

absolutely, this is a theme with Russian gunships. to double as troop carrier and emergency evac

Is Mi 28 NE is on offer?

its interesting that when India is acquiring Apaches, Pak is acquiring Mi 25.
purely from COIN point of view my dear
this deal has nothing to do with Indian weapons purchase. we already established state relations with respect to transport Mils.
the only entity which should have loose bowels from this purchase are the people who think Pakistan is a safe heaven to train for terrorism and commit atrocities within Pakistan and other countries

Then this choice makes sense. It will definitely come handy in our war against TTP. I don't think so this induction if happens will have any implications for other attack helicopters deals we are considering.

I hope it has implications over the consideration of other far more expensive Augusta helicopters or unproven Chinese copters.

mi35 -8 troops , 12,000 kg max takeoff wt
mi17 -30 troops
As a combination of armoured gunship and troop transport, the Mi-24 has no direct NATO counterpart.
Interesting! seems like this machine will help PA to merge two different mission profiles using single platform, cost effective . I wonder if MI-17 at this point are being escorted by cobra to neutralize threats before they land/takeoff during missions?
