Russia joins combat in Syria

Rebels only dare to fight crappy outdated SAA. They don't dare to fight state of the art super power Russian soldiers. They would not attack if they know there are Russian soldiers in the area. This is psychological warfare. Ukrainians are some of the toughest in the world, yet even they do not dare to shoot a single bullet at a Russian soldier. No one in the world wants a war with Russia. Not Ukraine, not the US, not rebels in Syria.

Ukrainians soldiers are on full alert and daily they are giving stiff resistance against the Russian Federation backed seperatists.

2 days back Ukrainian forces have recovered enough weapons in the village of Polovynkyne in Luhansk region.

Security officials seized anti-missile systems, four anti-tank guided missiles, an anti-aircraft machine gun, two machine-automatic grenade launchers, five hand-held antitank grenade launchers, Kalashnikov machine guns, 68 mortar shells, over 400 packages with ranged charge, nearly 500 major propellants, 1,200 fragment ammunition for grenade launchers, four anti-tank mines, 60 grenades of different types, TNT blocks and 22,000 cartridges of various calibers.

Syria would request Russian troops if needed but no combat troops now: minister| Reuters
Thu Sep 17, 2015 4:07pm EDT
Syria's foreign minister Walid al-Moualem said his country would request Russian troops to fight alongside its troops if the need arose but denied there were combat troops there now.

"There is no joint fighting on the ground with Russian troops but if we felt such a need we would study it and ask," Moualem told state television.

Although the Syrian army has so far able to fight on its own, there was a need for state of the art weapons to tackle the insurgents trying to topple President Bashar al-Assad's government, he added.

"So far the Syrian army is able (on its own) and what we need frankly is more of the ammunition and qualitative weapons to face the type of qualitative weapons of these terrorist groups," he added.

Russian military support was so far limited to arms supplies and training on new weapons from Russia, Moualem said, adding that his country's ties with Moscow were strategic.

The Russian government said on Thursday its military support for Damascus was aimed at fighting terrorism, safeguarding Syria's statehood and preventing a "total catastrophe" in the region.

Sure it has. Poroshenko signed peace agreement.

United Nations News Centre - Close to 8,000 people killed in eastern Ukraine, says UN human rights report

The document further underlines that “the situation in Ukraine continued to be marred by ongoing armed hostilities in some areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions reportedly fuelled by the presence and continuing influx of foreign fighters and sophisticated weapons and ammunition from the Russian Federation.”

It also flags “concern that the Russian Federation has continued to send white-truck convoys without the full consent or inspection of Ukraine, and their exact destination and content could not be verified.”

Meanwhile, the development of more centralized civilian administrative structures and procedures in the self-proclaimed ‘Donetsk people’s republic’ and ‘Luhansk people’s republic’ continued during the reporting period, although they do not conform with either international law or the national legislation of Ukraine.

For that reason they use proxy wars on other territory to boost their muscles.
Example ...In last case Ukrainian people was been blinded by their mafia oligarchs and their falsehood so they have lost part of the state.

Russia Ready to Consider Syria's Request for Military Action Against ISIL

An international US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes against ISIL positions in Syria without Damascus' consent.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s military participation in operations in the fight against the Islamic State in Syria could be discussed in a bilateral format should such a request surface, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
“If there’s a request, then it would naturally be discussed and reviewed in the framework of bilateral contacts and bilateral dialogue. This is so far difficult to discuss hypothetically,” Peskov told journalists.
yrian Foreign Minister said Thursday that Damascus may ask Moscow to send troops to fight alongside the government forces against terrorist groups in the war-torn country if necessary.
Moreover, Syria's envoy to the United Nations said earlier that Russia had every right to carry out airstrikes against ISIL on the country's soil.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with the government of President Bashar Assad fighting against many opposition factions and militant groups, such as ISIL and the Nusra Front.

Moscow says about 2,400 Russians fighting with Islamic State: RIA | Zee News

Last Updated: Friday, September 18, 2015 - 14:25

Moscow: About 2,400 Russian nationals are fighting with Islamic State militants, Russia`s First Deputy Director of Federal Security Sergei Smirnov was reported as saying on Friday.

RIA news agency also quoted Smirnov as saying that in total there are about 3,000 Central Asian nationals fighting within Islamic State groups.

Speaking to journalists, Smirnov said that the problem of migrants fleeing the Middle East to Europe is only likely to increase, posing potentially a "great threat" for Russia.

"The assertion that Moscow`s support negatively impacts the situation in Syria - and the flow of refugees in particular - is not true. This is due to the expansion of Islamic State in the region," he said.

Hinting at the United States, Smirnov said that there are "some countries that try to evade" international cooperation on fighting terrorism.

"There is a cooperation but not at the right level - especially with the United States," he said.

Russia would consider a request from Syria to send troops if Damascus asks for it, the Kremlin's spokesman said on Friday.

"If there is a request [from Syria], then in the framework of a bilateral dialogue it would be, naturally, discussed and considered," Dmitry Peskov told journalists on a conference call. "For now, it's difficult to speak hypothetically."

The Syrian military, which has lost ground to rebels recently in a four-year-old civil war, has begun using new types of air and ground weapons supplied by Russia, a Syrian military source told Reuters on Thursday.
