What the hell is a longer missile? Russia has cruise missile it can launch from Russian soil, submarines, ships and aircraft that can hit Turkey, but Turkey does not have this ability. Turkey has no long range strategic bombers, no nuclear subs, a pathetic amount of helicopter, no close air support aircraft, almost no heavy airlift aircraft, ect. Turkey is a conventional military that is extremely week in many areas, it has no power projection.

There is a reason why Turkey suspended "military operations" aka border violations over Syria. Turkey was talking tough after the shoot down but suddenly now they did not know it was a Russia aircraft and they want to be friends and the sanctions or not fair ect.


A lot of forum member here over estimate Turkey's abilities. Turkey should be respected as a military force but many Turks are chest pounding over their short lived euphoria of the down bomber. Latakia air base has at least 2 Pantsir systems and at least 2 S-400s coupled with at least 4 SU-30SMs, the numbers will grow but even these systems can deal a severe blow to the Turkish air force. Remember it was a Pantsir that down the Turkish F-4. The Pantsir is designed to destroy cruise missiles, air-to-ground rockets, helicopter, and aircraft and so on. So even if Turkish aircraft somehow avoid the S-400 which is very unlikely they would still have to deal with Pantsirs which can not only destroy aircraft but the weapons those aircraft launch. Couple that with the fact that Syria also operates Pantsirs and it becomes clear why Turkey is avoiding Syria now.

As for Turks thinking NATO will save them or that NATO is dumb enough to attack Russia if it rightfully and justly retaliated against a Turkish incursion into Syria. Well how did that work out for Turkey after Syria downed their F-4? If Turkey decides to temp fate and violate Syrian airspace they are risking being shot down and if they do get shot down, it would be justified and deserved.

Dude, i wonder what you smoke there... You deserve an award for you imagination... Russian stationed your S400 and other air defense missiles just 35km away. It is in Turkish artillery range. It is so simple to say that Russia took it there to have an excuse, not to hit.

Turkey has good experience with S300 radar. They have even took one(radars, not the missile) from Belarus for Turkish jets training.. As Greece and Armenia have them.. 2 years Azerbaijan also bought it, and Turkey had air force training with Azerbaijan twice a year.. basically, Turkey can easily hit you hard...

This is the accepted way to counter any of your SAM system... Turkey produce SOM cruise missiles with 1500km range, and plenty of other jet powered UAV, Harpy and so on...
