Russia confirms talks on delivery of MiG-31 aircraft to Syria

MiG-31 is designed for defensive missions & for interception, only a stupid will make it go for offensive missions, it has almost zero maneuverability compared to IAF F-16s & F-15, in WVR its death warrent is signed

This certainly isn't the case I had carefully used the word overun the F16 & F15; maneuverability isn't important in this scenario. Furthermore its twin engine is highly capable of producing a great thrust as well as great torques which thus can easily bypass Israeli planes. Keep in mind we are not talking about a dogfight but who can keep an eye on eachother which certainly Israeil can't do while racing agfainst MiG 31.
Then it will be a race b/w their missiles & MiG31!!

it's a race for a mig-31 to beat the arrow, standard missile 3 (Israel will be getting these in place of the arrow 3) or patriot missile batteries. the standard missile 3 has a range exceeding 270 miles into Syria. And is also able to take out satellites. And with the Mig-31's big airframe and heat signature it is very easy to track.

I ain't saying that MiG31 surely will win I am only acknowledging that MiG31 can only be battled against missiles not with Israeli planes!!
Second thing for sure is that MiG31 may have been updated with counter avionics especially when it's going to be used for reconnaissance.This may raise the probability that Russians after knowing about current Israel missile have already adobted the countermeasures!!

it can be battled with Israeli planes. It's only advantage is speed. Also becuase of lack of funds the Syrians have very poor pilot training. They struggle to keep their modern aircraft flying.
