. . . . .
Mistral order was canceled in 2014. These will initially complement and then replace the Admiral Kuznetsov heavy carrier which is due for decommissioning in a few years.
This show Russia have poor economy, if you wanna rule the oceans and seas you need full fledged carrier to project power

Sounds like another Russian fantasy project to me ... Russia's shipbuilding capabilities are a former shadow of those of the USSR. They don't even have enough money to develop/procure their Su-57 and now they're thinking of building a very expensive and unnecessary LHD?

Russian navy converted to anti terrorism role since early 2000s. So they replace all the Sovremenny and Udaloy destroyers with Gorshkov class frigates and Admiral Kuznetsov class heavy carriers with Ivan Rogov class light carriers to save money.

You don't need large surface ships at all to deal with terrorism ... at most, corvettes would suffice.

Lame justification, is Su-57 and up coming PAK-DA/MIG-41 will have also anti terrorism role:hitwall::hitwall::hitwall::crazy::crazy::crazy:

Amphibious assault light carriers are required to bombard terrorists from off the coast.
Russia can do the same from its static airbases ... AFAIK Russia does not even operate any STOVL fighters, how will it bombard terrorists from the coast with an LHD?

It's good for providing jobs. Russian defense sector employs hundreds of thousands directly and indirectly.
You retard, if they want to create jobs why they opened hundreds of shut down Civilian factories, its main purpose of to replace old/junk equipment of Russian armed forces with state of art technology
