If this deal is scrapped, Europeans will be reluctant to do defense deals with India. India did cancel helicopters deal before and now this.

They twisted RFP terms and caused cost escalation.It will affect their business credibility.Not us.
And we already bought 10 billion$ equipment from US.We have our own helicopter production in here.

Hands down, Rafale is much superior to anything Russia produces. Rafale is a newer design too compared to Russian aircraft of today.

All Russian designs date back to end of Cold War era. This may not make a difference in many cases but it does give Rafale an edge.

When we add our own equipments in that system it will way better than original Russian system.That is why.the MKI is more advanced than original Flankher and more equal to.Su 35.

If, rafale deal of india goes down ... it will push india back to russia for all their immidiate jets needs and iot will b the only viable option. because of the rafale deal, it has already closed the gap and reluctance between Pakistan and russia and both have established new and deep ties in new fields.
France could again offer arms like AIP submarines/missiles/new aircrafts and support to the older fleets to Pakistan in retaliation or else.
A deal is aleady in negotiations to directly import more advanced custom built varient of Russian jet engines RD-93 for the JF-17. It will improve the jet program and may lead to more Russian-made parts like more advanced raddars and technical support/help in developing of futur batches of jf-17 and supply of russian attack helicoptors.




economics..... if India can investing in Pakistani politics 12 billion rupies just to sabotaz the KALABAGH dam project since decads and some other water related projects. That is why i am sure, india will not kill the rafale deal fully any sooner and she will order for some jets to russia too. so no one can offer any thing to pakistan freely and openly.

French wont provoke us by offering Rafale to Pakistan even if cancel this deal.Then they can say bye bye from.lucrative Indian Market once and for all.

Frontline stuff like Su 30 MKI etc for China. 2nd rung and newly acquired stuff like 29's and LCA for Pakistan . YOu need to arm your self based on the level of the adversary

France is already making up for this deal with yet a biger less complicated one, and things are being finalized rapido, it comprises 136 Rafales, as follows:
24 for Egypt
16 for Malysia
60 for the UAE
36 for Qatar

Egypt mostly will go for at least another 24, and malaysia another 16 in the near future, with apparently no ToT at least not for foreign production.

Russian jets have their own advantages, mostly the new Mig-29s, Mig 35s and the SU-35, and they would be the best other option for India if this deal is scraped.
American jets usually come with strings attached, but might not be the case for India in this day and age, since it can count on the Usraeli lobby in the US to cut the best deal for it, like they do for Usrael.

They did not twist the RFP. You were thinking a cheap get away deal. You thought you will get advanced weapon at the price you wish along with technology to boot. Do I not know Indian mentality?

Only an idiot would try to fight china. China today is like USA was 30-40 years ago. A great friend of Pakistan and suspicious of India due to its USSR tilt. India can not win a war with China, but can surely make it very expensive for China to attack India. Prohibitively so. Just like what Pakistan aims to do with India. There is a mexican term for this. today in defence budget we had 40 bn allocation which is less then 2% of our gdp......... far far lower then what pakistan spends
