It's not (especially not compared to the US), because the Russians are replacing older Mi 8s with new Mi 17s, while the Europans most likely are replacing older European helicopters with new once as well. So they remain with their big stack in Indian helicopter fleet, while US or UK/Ita for example with the AW 101, were only able to get smaller side stacks, although they competed in the LUH tender as well and although Blackhawks was offered as well.

Why do we have to gauge our relations with who does what with Pakistan? Why can't it be business alone, Russia is special for us no denying that and the relations will only improve and not deteriorate.

Do you think Pakistan will play with those weapons ? They are here to attack us , not for terrorists or . Had it been pure business why the heck would we protest against other countries to stop supplying weapons to Pakistan ? We could have made business alone as per your logic .
