India negotiating purchase of more Apache and Chinook helicopters: Boeing official

I guess the war in Ukraine have scared india as well, they realized their russian weapons wont be a match for chinese or even Pakistani. I guess the big wakeup slap was 27 feb.

Actually Chinese is selling the Russian copy of military weapons to Pakistan.... it does not make much difference.

Before 2000, USA was not ready to transfer any latest military types of equipment to India... Pakistan was getting the all benefits.

Now, since the situation has improved... Everyone wants to sell their latest products to India - We will hunt for the best available in the world market.

If Russia will offer which is best then we will go for it, the same case with others.

big wakeup slap was 27 feb.:D:D:D:D:D... how people do enjoy and feel proud of such a small incident.

U r right and india should take advantage of it. But chinese weapons are not like the past. Its 2022 and quality of chinese weapons is way ahead of russia now. It was the 90s where china sold cheap russian copies. Door to western weapons have closed to Pakistan but thankfully chinese have advanced and our decades long relationship will benefit us. Even the US now see china as the competitor and not russia.
And yes it was a small incident but the sheer dominance PAF displayed, made indians shit their pants. You see how a raging thumping india, ready to teach Pakistan a lesson for life, suddenly went silent and didn't dare to eacalate or even take revenge. Aqalmand k liye ishara kaafi hota hay.

So you telling me, prior to 27th of Feb, you Indians werent screaming and shouting about the so called Balakot strike saying you did a surgical strike? (later proved false)? Or before that where you supposedly did your first surgical strike? (later proved false).

Or even further back with the Atlantique shootdown? Hypocrites

Balakot strike - it was a total failure of PAF... They were not able to respond and engage timely... 12 fighter planes entered PAK air space and escaped easily after dropping the bombs.... Counting as faliure of IAF if it was missed.. but complete failure of PAF.

Atlantique shootdown - it was a sad incident because Kargil war and crossing the international border during the tense situation. It was shot by Mig 21..... nothing Hypocrites...

The same case for on 27th feb, Pakistan executed the plan next day with better tactics and planning..... I truly appreciate that IAF was able to respond on time but there was no comparison 24 aircrafts (PAF) vs 6-7 IAF aircraft.... At the short movement of incident.....

A small border incident can win by any country... Does not matter if the country is fighting against 4, 7 or10 times stronger country.

India should invest more on the training and survival techniques of It's soldiers.
Remember during the last clash with Chinese, they killed and wounded dozens of Indian soldiers without wasting a single bullet.

Not really. Heavy lift Helicopter were always a requirement. Only recently as and when funds are available, they are being bought. It's a straight contest between Mi26 and Chinook. While Mi26 can carry more, Chinook got more utility and better availability. Therefore it was chosen.

For attack helicopters again it was between Apache and Mi28. Apache offer was a better one, so was bought.

Once both were bought it makes sense to keep buying the same kind. Doesn't it?

Therefore your argument of Ukraine conflict doesn't really stand.

And the "emergency" procurements and upgrades right after feb 27? Lolz

Balakot strike wasnt a failure of the PAF. The PAF CAPs responded to 3 attempted incursion by the IAF which was used to conceal the strike package for Balakot. All of those incursions were intercepted and turned back at the border. The balakot strike package got through but almost immediately retreated as soon as they were being painted by another PAF CAP that moved to intercept the strike package. Where was the failure? We intercepted you and you turned back before you could strike the madrassa.

Atlantique shootdown was a cowardly act by the IAF to try and settle the score with Pakistan.

27th of Feb proved who rules the skies. Its a complete failure on the IAF, for not having an appropriate amount of CAPs to intercept the PAF strike package, nor to scramble enough reinforcements in time to reinforce the already engaged Su30mki and Mig21.

Regardless of whether it was 24 PAF against 7-12 IAF, all is love and fair in war.

You are quick to post multiple Indian sources... A simple brain teaser for you.... How come some months after the clash the Chinese were able to release dozens of images of battered and bruised captured Indian soldiers while nothing was reported by Indian authorities... Furthermore, what have the Indian Army or otherwise have shown to back up any claims.... Erecting the Galwan Victory Wall is as credible as discovering the Yeti.

When you're involved in some sort of conflicts, injuries are bound to happen.. no one is immortal
As for the Chinese, they have hidden their casualties for straight 8 months...klaxon have already said how their casualties was 9 times higher than their official tally. Indian Army fought the war on Chinese side of LAC...Are you even aware of these facts? Instead on making ridiculous claims about your adversary, better focus on your own country which is literally on the verge of bankruptcy

And the "emergency" procurements and upgrades right after feb 27? Lolz
Please name the emergency procurement done after that.

There are lobbies which includes sections of media who push out news about possible deals.

But please go ahead and tell me about an emergency purchase which actually happened after 27th.

LOL, you and your pathetic claims and excuses.
First acquire some comprehension skills before pressing the reply button.
Did the Indian authorities even acknowledge that Chinese have taken so many Indian prisoners. Even the casualty figures were released in piecemeal. And then Chinese exposed it further by releasing images of dozens of captured Indian soldiers.
And guess who is crawling on PDF needing a voice and posting left and right to feel good.
Since the fight was happening over a ledge, many soldiers from both sides fell into the icy cold river water.

They added that of the 20 dead on the Indian side, about eight died directly as a result of hypothermia because they had injured themselves by falling on the rocks in the river below. It was Tuesday morning by the time a rescue was possible.

As the Indian side found out about the fight breaking out, back up was rushed in. This included troops from the 16 Bihar and other units that were posted in the area due to the stand off. In the hand-to-hand combat, many Chinese soldiers were grievously injured, the sources said.

Such was the confusion at this point that each side pelting stones was also hitting their own soldiers.

“The area of the main fight was very narrow. In the melee, at one particular section, the Chinese were again overwhelmed by the Indian troops and they ran off to the main area of PP 14 behind which there was Chinese build up,” a source said.

A group of Indian soldiers chased them and crossed over what is the Line of Actual Control (LAC), an undrawn line.

It is here that 10 Indian soldiers were held captive since the Chinese had a bigger build-up, sources said.

While more Indian soldiers armed with sticks rushed in, the Chinese threw stones and rolled down bigger stones onto the Indian team.

16 June: The morning after

In the morning, both sides decided to halt the fight and rescue the injured and take away bodies.

Some of the soldiers who ended up in custody on the other side were returned following the Major General level talks near PP 14.

Both sides made sure that the injured were taken care of.

However, it was only on Thursday that the Chinese returned the 10 who had crossed over the LAC in the chase.

“It was a clash that began with Chinese treachery. It was a clash of great heroism of the troops posted there who fought back the Chinese and taught the Chinese a lesson not to mess with India,” a source said.

It was part of IAF tactical planning.....

It is just a PAF version.. what do you expect from PAF to come and say, Ohh bhai they able to come and go but somehow we missed?

NO nothing proved anything expects with better planning you can execute and get the success. As I said, such small incidents can be won by anyone with a better planning but a full flesh fight is just different where you get time to punch back with better planning and executions.

Were you able to accurately release and strike your intended target? No. Why? Because the Mir2k dropped their payload after being painted by the PAF CAPs.

Was the PAF able to launch their payload and hit their intended target? Yes. That too whilst taking down IAF jets.

You see the difference?
