You have no clue what Dr. Ambedkar stood for. He was a staunch dharmic and had completely rejected Aryan invasion theory propagated by colonialists and concluded that Shudras are Aryan too. That is the reason why he encouraged people to take up Buddhism a dharmic/native religion rather than asking people to convert to Islam or Christianity.
