Rs 25k cr Tejas won’t be ready before 2015

What absurd logic is that ? :azn: ... A project can only be declared as a failure if all the other adversaries have next Generation fighters  ... It can be easily classified as a failure if it is inducted at a time at which it is no use ...

Really ? :azn: Where did you see that ? Blatantly lying , huh ?

So far, Tejas has achieved only initial operational clearance-I (IOC-I) to certify it's airworthiness. "The IOC-II for the fighter, which also includes integration of some weapons like laser-guided bombs, was pushed back to December 2012. But now, it will only be possible by July, 2013, or so after over 200 more sorties. FOC will come only two years after that,'' said a source.
Didn't you read what I write ??? If you are happy with this source I don't have a problem at all :D
Well now I would love to see Oscar Sir's view of this Rant

So in LCA sticky thread. A member Sudhir is posting the updates of flights. Then you tell me how may months/years will require for that 200 sorties or may be days. Please check that

Again for IOC-2 and FOC there is a article in sticky if you want info and not just trolling :D

I doubt even Rafale will be of any use by the time your hypothetical Mk2 comes out :P

I have been following ur post from OP. I may ask "Had u been in the decision making chair, what would have you done ?"

Every one around here pls get one thing straight, we are cutting the learning curve by a couple of decades by Tejas Mk1. Earlier we dinn had a indigenous bird (Designed and built, albeit with some help) even on the runways. Among the brother nations which got there Independence in the same time span, we are trying to get something up in the air. I agree Tejas have hit road blocks but that doesn't mean its a money sink. Remember that first times always the hardest. Its true for this case too.

Yes I read what you write in desperation ... Didn't make any sense though ... You can read it again and try to ponder over your own absurd logics ...

Really ? Do you have a source stating otherwise ? I would be happy with it too ... I think you were talking about Mk2 just a moment before :P What happened to it ? ... Or will you now run around in circles ?

Now we are getting somewhere ... I wouldn't have set almost impossible and monthly changing requirements for my first aircraft program , savvy ?

At a time when the US is fast-developing hypersonic bombers capable of flying at 20 times the speed of sound, India's largely home-grown Tejas light combat aircraft will 'not be ready to go to war' anytime before 2015.
OMG!!!
That's almost the speed of an ICBM!

Times of India at it again. If this is the level of intelligence of these reporter scum, then imagine the facts presented after the above statement in that article!

These people make even the Tejas look good.

Building an 4th Gen aircraft out scrach is not a cake walk....If you don't believe us then take the example of china it took more then mmm 30 years for china to build its first 4th Gen aircraft{Remember j9 was also 4th gen aircraft project}....so their is nothing wrong here in admiting that yes we are taking our own time in building our 4th Gen aircraft....and one the main reason for the delay is that in the begining of the project few of our scientist overestimated themselves......

Yes i too doubt , considering your aircrafts are inferior to ours in terms of quality and quantity

Where do " we " come into play in the delay of your projects ? :azn: Or is this another ungovernable
impulse to troll to cover your failures ?

Refrain from off topic bull **** though ... Haven't got anyone anywhere except his name being shown in pink ...

No just waiting for Oscar to return. If this ^^^ is ok with him. I will reply you real nice my friend :D
I said again there is a article in sticky about current IOC-2 segment in Rajastan and Goa. If you are interested go check. I am not going to dig that out for you. If you are that lazy google "LCA+IOC-2+ tarmak" you will get a Indian express article there. But you are interested in other thing aren't you ???

So u mean to say you would have asked for a gen 1/2 plane first, then ask others for design of third or copy some other third gen a/c ?? 4th gen would have been not even on your mind.

Do wait ... " I will reply " What is stopping you now ?

I have seen almost all your daily flight log and IOC-2 things ... Let me just say that your aircraft will be first in the world to get a second IOC ... I am interested in discussing properly but can I If the other person starts to lie blatantly by claiming that 2015 deadline if for 2015 when in reality it is for first Tejas ? Or thinks that a project is only a failure if all the other adversaries have next Generation tech by the time it rolls out and not because it wasn't actually in the operational service serving the country ? :azn:

Thats not a proper reply . I can give links . You got doubt that Rafales wont be seen in action . I gave the reason :p:P ATleast we tried and its delayed not a failure . If you laugh at us by thinking its a failure think of how much you need to laugh at your self

2020 deadline for the Tejas by yourself tells you what ? :azn: ... Of course countries will start having the first 5th Generation squadrons by then ... Well again , there is no " we " here , it is just you ... So sorry

No , you didn't understand my post ... Your AF is asking for more than what the manufacturers of Tejas can deliver at the moment trying to make their first aircraft battle-worthy ...

How many countries apart from US, China and Russia?

Not even EU has planned a 5th gen, while we are running 2 parellel programmes (with the ofcourse with the delays) in tandem.

Too much for a country who is not even a developed country and we are proud of our achievements, even how smaller they are.

Don't get frustrate on his post......Truly,the passage of time has revealed so many victories of IAF capabilities.

The discussion was never about the 5th Gen scenario in the first place ... Do you tie your success of the Tejas aircraft to the buying of foreign aircraft or parallel programmes ?

Appreciated ...

EU with 5 countries have fighter which is still incomplete.

Only US and Russia have somewhat completed 4.5 gens.

It does nt matter if India still is delayed by a decade on its own programme.

Its already decade ahead of many many developing countries in achieving atleast something.
