I agree. They got 'drip drip' support from Turkey, Pakistan, Saudia Arabia including Afghan jihad volunteers. But all that was just life support. By itself it would have and did not stop the massacre of Muslims. The arrival of US Army was the turning point. Serbs knew they were fcuked. It was ultimately US military power that chastened the Serbs and in time even gave Kosovar Muslims independence.
For me this event proves something more important. People say America is against Muslims. That is utter hogwash. If you look at Swedish Amish community they could easily pass off as hardcore Muslims when they are not. However they are treated like a special group and accorded protection while be looked after with kids gloves. Similiary USA put it's soldiers in harm way to protect Muslims in Bosnia. Ditto Muslims in Kosva both of whom shower roses on American soldiers.
But all these groups are white, blond and blue eyed which is a quality that overcomes any US bias against 'Muslims'. As I find in UK the anti Muslim sentiment is largely racism dressed as religion. Muslim is just a metaphor for brown.
Years ago I saw a podcast featuring the famed White Nationalist Richard Spencer..Extremely erudite regarding history and the development of science, philosophy and mathematics in Europe. He said something that utterly shocked, offended, scandalised but eventually convinced me..The argument went something like this:
Remember the famous National Geographic photo of the green eyed Afghan refugee girl in Pakistan?
He said that though the Afghan girl and her ancestors grew up in a part of the world far removed from Western Civilization, an argument can be made that the Afghan girl with a few years of effort could be made part of White Western Civilisation in a way that a black woman born and brought up in the USA cannot...
needless to say the first reaction to such incendiary statement was resistance, but as I thought about it more over the next 24 hours, it all made sense
Many white nationalists want to extend "honorary white" or "separated white" or "displaced white" status till the western rims of Pakistan .....Mind you this sympathy does not extend to the plains of India where their ancient cousins have disappeared in a sea of "Pajeets"
A significant part of the establishment and ruling parties in USA,UK,Germany,Australia are closet white nationalists. Not that I detest that, they have every right to be whatever the want in their country ...and they are here to stay and call the shots, not going anywhere...Hiding their prejudices under the cloak of legalism
But I feel Pakistan would have a significant advantage diplomatically vis-a-vis its rivals as long as it keeps projecting faces like Imran Khan and Benazir Bhutto, and is under the danger of losing significant goodwill if faces like that of Fawad chaudhury are projected internationally...This is not unlike when Japan had a much bigger say in International politics when "slightly aryan" or sharp looking Junchiro Koizumi was the PM of Japan
This goodwill is bound to increase also as long as the Kalash tribes continues to thrive and increase as well..Modern White Nationalists are more interested in Kalash religion than Brahmanism/Vedicism in order to recreate old pre-christian Northern European paganisms..even Harvard launched studies under Witzel to understand Kalash spirituality
Some aspects of inter-cultural opinions cannot be captured through international trade, diplomacy,journalism and can only be uncovered through intimate inter-gender relationships
