I dont think this will happen anytime soon, besides its better to have friend in biggest military alliance which can represent your interests.

Listen my friend. Your govt decided to invade our lands, if you think that we will betray our own people to please your govt in the long term, you are living in a delusion. Our purpose was and is to defeat your govt while working with it, without making much unwanted fuss when it unfolds in public and while wrapping our own national interests in the process. You can accuse us of double or a triple cross but friend the truth is when i have a choice between you and an Afghan, the option for me is obvious, even if i choose to play along with you for some time for tactical reasons. Your govt has resorted to the establishment and maintenance of tyranny in the Muslim world as a policy in order to control it. We of course know who toppled the govt in Iran and who supported every single dictator in Pakistan and who for instance supported Suharto in Indonesia and who exactly is supporting the tyrannical regimes in the middle east even today. Please, for your own sake, do not try to sell this.

This "Chinese model" would ONLY ever work in China, it certainly wouldn't work in Pakistan. Pakistan needs to find its own "model".

don't get me wrong I don't want my country or government mixed up in the Middle East. hell i'm for Ron Paul less government. i would love if we closed down all our foreign bases.

once the oil is gone or replaced by alternative sources we might just get that wish.
