EU is sucessfull model , we can follow the same model for economic and stability of whole south asia , I think it will decrease tension between India and Pakistan and other smaller countries will also get economic benefits.

Armed forces of both countries are consuming development resources which can be utilized for wellfare of poor majority.

i appreciate your thinking man great But dont u think tensions with Pakistan will be solved only with Kashmir

Members of my family have fought for India's freedom, and died. My family was uprooted from the erstwhile East Pakistan, in 1947, and we came to Kolkata, practically broke.

Why would I want to undo the sacrifice my family has made. Partition in '47 was a mistake. While a couple of men were stroking their giant ego, the size of Jupiter, a few million people either perished or were left penniless and homeless, pushing them into the throes of despair and uncertainty. But once it was done, it was done.

This talk of 'reunification' or 'Akhand Bharat' just pisses my azz off.

People, who say this, are almost always the ones who never had to go through the pains of partition. Disgusting.

Even after resolving border issues Islamic republic of Pakistan will not be accepted by India if reunification can be referred as per EU model.

A distance and sense of fear will always remain in Indian populace even CBM and trade will boost by the course of time.

I think Turkey is not in EU which explains everything.

try to win over INDIAN's first..then think of re-union...Great damage has been done..now Indians don't care about Pakistan or its people, they're too busy with their own problems.
however there r some minority who cherish that thought including me...
and few Pakistani's also who may be thinking of similar lines..ie they're loosing in all fronts w r t INDIA..be it political, Diplomatic or militarily (with hightec Indo US Israel links)..so they're desperate to get into some sort of engagement with India.
am also read few posts above of people who lost everything in partition...

It strange Indian are asking for trust building, when they are not working in trust building direction. From Kashmir to Bangladesh and recent one in Siachin. Now what else ?...Indian need to show some goodwill and now what they are facing, all because of their bad past policies and still not ready to accept the mistake and not trying to correct them.

Its because when we worked on trust building direction it will ended up on some one killing our civilians or capturing our land ..its not only our responsibility to work on trust building direction..every other country has to do it ...One country working on trust building and other country trying to destroy it will dont make much difference ..

You just echoed my feelings. My grandfather and family went through hell when they had to leave Sialkot. He lost 3 of his brothers.

For some of us, the wounds of partition run too deep to be forgotten.

Both knows non state actors always want to derail the ongoing composite dialogue process. For big achievement , it is necessary to ignore some death. If every year 55000 people die in road accident in India, does it mean Indian stop driving cars ?. If Pakistan move forward after Indian state sponsored insurgency in East Pakistan, then what stopping India ?...
