A military aircraft deal between the southern Sudanese state and Israel on the purchase of Juba (6) aircrafts and a high-tech spy system for use to take pictures of military sites was revealed Tuesday by the Assayha Newspaper..
A source in the government of the south preferred to withhold his name for the (Assayha), said yesterday that the warplanes were leased by Juba in 2014 and trained a crew from its Air Force to fly them. The source added that the government of the south asked to buy the same type of Israeli aircrafts, revealing that the South received Israeli aircraft with a crew of (11) officers from the Israeli army, indicating that they have already arrived in southern Sudan.
