Friend, being tolerant doesn't mean taking nonsense from lunatics who have a sick mindset and openly flaunt their sickness in front of everyone.

Openness and tolerance should be a two-way street. Having been to Netherlands, I can say that your city security infrastructure is not very well manned. I know Europe is far away from all this madness, but terrorism is now a global phenomenon. Nothing can be done much other than taking full blown precautions and being ruthless against the perpetrators.

All democracies need to amend the laws such that anyone who is caught in the acts of terrorism which includes footage from CCTVs and live witnesses should be awarded death sentences without a detailed trial.
