Again, the Indian army has never been deployed against the maoist. Secondly, please do some research is to who runs the whole maoist ring, you will find out that the leaders are only doing it to extort money out of the people who live in the infested areas. They kill innocents ard hinder any development projects.

These ideologies (Maoism) propagate only in those areas where there has been atrocities. I haven't researched, but I have seen in with my eyes. Please visit the NE, to see what exactly is happening on the ground. It is quite easy to sit at home and comment, I have traveled across villages in MP, Andhra and Orissa. Poor people whose expectation are minimum. It is a failure of the government...people might be misled by some greedy Maoist leaders, but the only reason why they can accomplish is that Government has failed.

Deploying CRPF (Maoist), Army (NE)...I am making it precise as u mentioned....for me both are same...a man with a gun and uniform. Peaceful negotiations and development is the only tool. And my advice to you would be please take out some time and spend some days in the villages....

In one of the post, the poster suggested these Maoist have to recruit the children is because most of the adult (soldiers/insurgents/rebels) were slaughtered bu the Indian army. And this poster seemed to smirk about the Naxalites being killed. To me it is genocide.

Naxalites took up arms. They started killing. So they have to be killed. I dont understand how this is genocide. I dont know any country which presents flowers to murderers.

Some also suggested these are no good goons, thieves and smugglers. Well, these people are inside Indian territory. Are they from the neighbouring countries. If it is , why not round them up and send them back?

It just makes no sense. These are aboriginal people in their own homeland and are being oppressed, driven away from the mineral rich land they once inhabited because the government/big corporation want to get rich by exploiting the minerals (possibly sell them to the Chinese).

These numbers are misleading If the Child soldiers have been an issue It has been in North East.. specially Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura... Manipuri boys were often Kidnapped from hostels and recruited in separatists organizations etc... even in J&K It never became a Big issue since most of the boys were from Pakistani Punjab province.

In Maoists all are soldiers... from a baby born to man in 80s according to them.

Mate I have lived in MP in betul and in Chattisgarh, and I have seen what these Maoist can do. My aunts neighbor in Chattisgarh was killed because he worked in a government hospital. You talk about peaceful negotiation when these guys kill innocents, the government had failed to some degree but it doesn't justify the killing of innocents by these goons. These guys can protest peacefully like all others do, yet they choose to pick up arms and harm people who have nothing to do with them, and I for that can never support them and their cause whether it be just or not.

Its nasty politics being played, and the victim are innocent people. Nobody, wants to take up gun...that's the last resort. CRPF was sent in because there was killing of people by these groups if they had not attacked the people living in the area then the CRPF wouldn't have been brought in. You want them to kill innocents and when the government sends in CRPF it is suddenly playing foul. If these guys wanted to peacefully negotiate or protest they could have gone to a media group or protested in Delhi like all the others do, but they chose to take up arms and kill the people working in the area helping to develop these tribal areas and provide education, medical services, or develop the infrastructure in such areas. If they want peacful end to the current situation then they need to put down arms and come out and talk with the government.

Indian Army is one of the most secular institutions in this country.
