Renaissance of Bengali Hindu and the Subversion"

To tell you frankly, I could not understand what really you wanted to say in your post. But, let me clear you about the National Anthem of Bangladesh and its melody.

1) What we know today as our National Anthem was written by Tagore as a poem and not as a song. It means it was not given a melody at the time of its writing.

2) I do not remember exactly until when, but this poem was mostly recited by the school students in a poetric form, because there was no melody for it.

3) Then came a time when we heard some one talented has composed a melody for the poem. So, we got a national anthem with a melody.

4) A few years ago, I was watching an Indian Bangla movie about the lives of Baishnavs of Bengal. The name was perhaps Raikamal.

5) The film had many many songs, and to my surprise I came across a song whose melody is exactly same as our national anthem written by Tagore. I checked the production date of that film. It was about 1952 or 1953.

6) It means that someone in Bangladesh had fraudanly stolen the melody from that 1952/53 film song and imposed that to the NA. What a shame this is for the people of bangladesh.

7) The guy who has stolen the melody thought people will not find out his theft because the film was very old and was also not that popular.

No Integra is right, the music of the song is indeed inspired by 'Ami Kothay Paabo Taare/ Aamar Moner Manush Jeere' by Gagan Harkara. The music was jotted down by Indira Devi hearing it from Tagore himself.

.
Listen to this song, now does that sound similar to you? Over-enthusiastics will claim Tagore nakedly copied the Anthem from our Lalon but some call it influence.

Anyways those stuffs aren't valid anymore, History is
being made now so no point in fist-fights.

The song is not by Lalon but Gagan Harkara, yet again another obscure baul singer discovered by Tagore himself. Also Lalon is not yours or ours but a shared heritage. Lalon was most influential in Nadia and Kushtia districts in his lifetime.

Bangladeshis need to stop watching Sash Bahu serials which are made for bored housewives, try something new, like Gaan er Opaare.

Heard about that serial, that's a recent development(2010 onwards if I'm not wrong).
Before that if I'm not mistaken most of the crowd laughed at shows across
the border. But recently I've heard they do air some quality
shows, thanks to star network, right? I know that music director
Debyojoti sort of a close friend of my uncle, how I'll leave that for suspense:P.

From 2000 onwards, shows in BD were much more experimental up
until AL came(mother of all irony) . There were even Black n White dramas,
blue tinted crazy stuffs without any voices....thats because of young
directors over here I guess.

Anyways good to know you guys are doing good stuffs without those
silly dramas they used to air.

.
Truth hurt yeh. History can not be wipe out just because you wish. Hindus's treatment toward poor Muslims in Bengal can not be forgotten. You are lucky that we Bangladeshi Muslim preserving Hindus otherwise if we were likes of your kind then there would not be any Hindus left in Bangladesh.

we are lucky that nutheads like you live in the US and not in Bangladesh, please dont come back , your country does not need radicals like you.

Yeah most of the movies and soaps are garbage. But there are some good movies too being made in recent times. It's hard to fill the void that has been left behind by Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, Mrinal Sen et al.

Well I can not translate the article because my Bangla is weak but I agree with writer that Bangla speaking Muslim and Hindus are always been different entity and Hindus alway teated us as enemy since Muslim rulers has come from out side of Benglal. It's well known fact in Bangladesh that how Hindus conspired with British to demise Muslim ruler in Muslim dominate United Bengal.

I will ask some one with good knowledge in Bangla to briefly translate this nice article.

You don't know national language of Bangladesh???????????

Bangladesh is not pakistan or India which have many languages then how come you don't know if you claims to be belongs to BD???????

Its not your business to decide who is a Bangladeshi or not and don't think
personal attack to someone makes you look cool.
Nationalism is a relative matter.

Indeed nationalism is relative matter and I have whatsoever no problem as to what Zakir wants BD to be, but it's not cool to pretend to be a Bengali and badmouth them when you're not one of them but a bihari disposal.

Bangladesh is for everyone. And everyone for that matter is quite equal.
When the time comes they'll choose what to do.

What the eff in devil's name are you rambling about? Calcutta dialect(which was formalized in 19th century, yet again at the time Bengali renaissance) is the de facto official Bengali dialect in which the news broadcasters in your country talks.

No they cant talk Calcutta dialect, intact the vocubulary is different let alone accent. Calcutta dialect was never taken as de fecto official language. You need to recheck your facts..

But, what about the song I have listened in the film 'Raikamal?' It is same melody. Any explanation? Watch that movie and then come to a point. It could be that the same song was inducted in Raikamal.
