Islam doesnt recognise other religions. But it allows other religious people to stay in their country if they pay protection money.

But islam recommends beheading atheists.

I know you feel so insecure about Islam, you can keep bullshiting all you want, I will let Muslim forumners to deal with you:wave:

Taiping Rebellion
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Taiping Rebellion
Regaining the Provincial City Anqing2.jpg
A 1884 painting of The Battle of Anqing (1861)
Date December 1850 – August 1864

Fall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom
Diminished power of the central court over the provinces
Rise of irregular provincial armies
Vanquishing of the God Worshippers[1]
Lasting damage to the perception of Christianity in China[1]
Sparking of other rebellions in China, including the Miao Rebellion (1854–73)
Persecution of Hakka people and other ethnic groups that supported the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom

The Taiping Rebellion or the Taiping Civil War was a large-scale rebellion or civil war in China waged from 1850 to 1864 between the established Manchu-led Qing dynasty and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom under Hong Xiuquan.

The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was an oppositional state based in Tianjing (present-day Nanjing) with a Christian millenarian agenda to initiate a major transformation of society. A self-proclaimed convert to Christianity, Hong Xiuquan led an army that controlled a significant part of southern China during the middle of the 19th century, eventually expanding to command a population base of nearly 30 million people.

Devolving into total war—with any and all civilian-associated resources and infrastructure as legitimate military targets—the conflict was the largest in China since the Qing conquest in 1644, and it also ranks as one of the bloodiest wars in human history, the bloodiest civil war, and the largest conflict of the 19th century, with estimates of the war dead ranging from 20–70 million to as high as 100 million, with millions more displaced.[5]

Islam doesnt recognise other religion. Punishment for atheists in Islam is beheading.
Other nations can conduct their internal policies as they please, if their policies work for them then good on them, I want to see these countries prosper. I don't think China interfered with their practices. Their influence however stops at the Chinese border, some have realised that and respect it, some have not, just have to wait and see who is stronger. No religious institutions has ultimate power or power over the state in China especially an externally influenced one, that is just reality, not Christianity, not Islam, not Buddhism, not Catholicism. From China's perspective, a religion or any other institution must serve some positive social purpose and is only a subset not the whole story. If it is out to just seek political power without working towards a common cause then it is not particularly useful or helpful to the nation. Religious institutions that better serve the nation and state will be protected. I don't think what China is doing is particularly controversial.

.
Actually, it is a little different. China communist party put the word of "freedom of belief" in constitution because they were scared of its own religious people turning revolutionary. It is a word of expediency, not of commitment. Therefore, they are not afraid of people turning religious so long as those religious people are docile.

It is in their core commission to wipe out all religions. So, whenever you hear this word from communist party, laugh.
Taiping was great! CCP should allow this to happen again. Otherwise, China is not free.

.
This mentality is reasonable because communists never understand religions. So they treat religions, like everything else, as material objects they manipulate to serve their own want.
u got the point, but wrong way to put it.

The CCP's goal- with Chinese Characteristics- is to bring prosperity to its people.

It's precisely the reason why- that religion is deeply understood by Communists/Socialists that they see it nothing more than primitive thoughts to restrict the human mind and is acting as a major hindrance to the development of society.

no argument there as we meant differently by the word "understand".

Guess where many of early China communists were educated? :)
It depends on how you spin it. Science cannot replace religion in the scientific sense, but who says it has to be scientific? Abundant examples with people proclaiming science when little evidence or logic is provided.
Religion has hindered human progress for thousands of years. If we had pursued science from the beginning, our world would have become a paradise. Indeed, the scientific revolution is the SOLE reason why most people can live over 50 years old and not starve to death. Religion is a type of "spiritual opioid", an excuse for us to not face the reality. Therefore, I agree with what the CCP is doing as CCP has become analogous to the Chinese state, which means religion is being altered to suit the needs of the republic.
Btw, from my conversations with religious people, they all seem to have decided to become religious only when they suffered setbacks and couldn't cope with them.

Are you implying that the CCP doesn't know anything and it's simply 'distorting' and taking away religious 'freedom' to satisfy its insatiable desire to harm people? Are you one of those 民运 clowns who preach reverse racism and want China to be subservient forever?

not only people may flock to religions when they have setbacks in their lives, they could equally likely flock to mass movement like communism/socialism.
