why modifying illegal ?Tried to get my hands on this beauty. Sold off within minutes. Second-hand costs as much as a new one. Now I'm happy with my own old RE. Modifying bikes are illegal in my state so, I'm stuck with my Classic
I think a lot of copyright issues, crimes, emission standards, noise pollution factored into banning modification. But a lot of rules are senseless. Like I can change the color of my bike, but I need to get permission from the transport officer, and the vehicle is supposed to look like the original one with a different color. I can't change width of my tires or the rim. It's all complicated and lots of paperwork to make minor modifications legally.
