'Rajan Gone', Arvind Kejriwal Next: Subramanian Swamy Warns At BJP MP's Protest

BJP Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy today joined party colleague Maheish Girri in a hunger strike outside Arvind Kejriwal's home in Delhi, saying that "after Raghuram Rajan", he will now focus on exposing the Chief Minister.

"All his life he (Kejriwal) has done fraud. He says he was a meritorious student in IIT but I have records of how he got his admission...which I will reveal in a press conference. Till now I was Rajan ke peechhe (was going after Raghuram Rajan) and he is now gone," Mr Swamy said.

Maheish Girri, a BJP MP from Delhi, has been on a protest since yesterday. He wants the Chief Minister to apologise for accusing him of a role in the recent murder of MM Khan, an official of the civic body New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

"Question me if needed, arrest me if required," said Mr Girri, who has challenged Mr Kejriwal to an open debate.

Mr Kejriwal had earlier in a letter accused Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung of trying to protect Mr Girri, who, he said, has links with the man arrested for the murder.

Mr Swamy said he and Mr Girri would not end their strike unless Mr Kejriwal apologises or resigns.

Mr Kejriwal has shown no signs of relenting as he tweeted this morning on Mr Girri: "He shud be arrested n interrogated by Modi police in MM Khan murder case. Modi police shielding him."

MM Khan, an estate officer, was shot dead on May 16, a day before he was to give an order on the terms of the lease of The Connaught, a four-star hotel. The hotel's owner, Ramesh Kakkar, was arrested along with six others for the murder.

Mr Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party have alleged that Mr Girri and NDMC Vice Chairman Karan Singh Tanwar, who also belongs to the BJP, played a suspicious role in the murder.

The Delhi Police has reportedly said they have not come across any evidence against the two.

Swamy....he is a smart guy but he should stay humble...pride and over confidence has caused the fall of many...Modi is doing loads better than congress at the centre and it seems like kejriwal is doing decent work in delhi....

and people like kejriwal dont get nightmares....modi himslef did 6 big rallies in delhi before delhi elections and his entire cabinet was seen campaigning...but they couldnt win more than 3 seats coz people knew that from all the option kejriwal was the best...modi needs to respect that and move on

Regarding "supposed" good work done by kejri, I am hearing a lot of this supposed work but when I looked for it, I am yet to find it.
In fact water situation and electricity situation have never been this bad in Delhi, ever.
So, I am not quite sure which "good work" you are alluding it, do share the information with us though.

How else would Mahesh Giri ever get kejru's attention?

Either kejru should show the proofs he has that made him implicate Giri or he should resign. You can't have a CM playing fast and loose with law in murder case. The whole idea that a person is guilty because kejri does not like that person reminds me of another nut case from North korea.

Kejri has fallen so far into gutter that his followers don't even realise how deep in muck their beloved leader is in.

Imagine this. kejru throws allegations, He won't provide any proof. He will demand Modi to investigate and give Kejri the proofs for this allegations. He will demand Modi to file cases because kejru demands the cases to be filed. Kejru also demands Modi fight the cases on his behalf.

The Delhi government success in mobilising resources is borne out by the budget numbers on growth of tax revenues. For instance the total tax collections of the Delhi government rose by a record 17% in 2015-16, which is substantially larger than the meagre 2.6% growth in the state tax collections in the previous year 2014-15. While growth of excise duties went up almost four fold to 31%, growth of stamps and registration fees picked up by 21% as against the 4.3% fall in the previous year. Similarly luxury tax collections went up by 36.7% while entertainment tax collections went up by 60%. These are numbers that are not usually seen even in the case of dream budgets.

This amazing improvement in tax collections by the Delhi government was achieved by following a carrot and stick approach. The government took care to incorporate suggestions of all stake holders while formulating tax policies and ensured that the industry had some incentives to ensure timely payments. The emphasis was on reducing rates and removing ambiguities wherever possible. Constant efforts were also made to eliminate corruption. In fact the government anti-corruption drive secured the maximum number of arrests in the excise department where growth of tax collections has now gone up almost four fold.

Collections of more taxes is an achievement if the same taxes were used for public - to improve their lives.

All I can see is that these taxes are being paid 400% salary increase of kejru and his chamchas.
For Kejru's advertisement all over the world
For paying Ambanis as part of electricity subsidy.

Not one systemic or infra improvement in Delhi and all you can show is tax collected has increased in a city.

Well , raiding a CM's office with no proof or justification is pretty idiotic ...borderline psychopathic..what did Modi get out of it? nothing except mockery and insults....kejriwal can be overbearing at times but if Modi believes that kejriwal is going to do corruption then Modi is equally stupid...modi should let kejriwal function and watch him get crushed under the weight of his own lofty promises...

And India is a democracy....Modi is not the king...he is just a civil servant...so he can be criticized in any way possible...look at what obama or hillary or cameron are called on daily basis...chill..dont get offended so easily

Horrible post. As CM, Modi was grilled for days but you never saw him attack MMS as how Kejri did.
It's not what Modi believes. It's what Kejri and his chamchas believe about Modi that is the problem. You believe Modi's degrees are fake, his dress is fake, his honesty is fake and everything about him is Fake...YET, you take offence at calling a corrupt like Kejriwal as Corrupt..
