All these setbacks are probably temporary and related to the timing of both Pakistan's and China's internal affairs. On Pakistan's side, the general election will be held soon and the incumbent PM is transitional on top of that. On China's side, only the party heads are just selected from the 19th Party Congress and the new government will be shuffled at March of 2018. With the uncertainty from both side, the slow pace of CPEC can be expected.
Hopefully the pace will be sped up once the governments are settled.

Everything was set.
A few days ago they said that Chinese lauded kpk for their extensive work on rashkai sez and now this. Seems really really fishy.
I am so sad, countries are above everything.
It is actually the result of our sins that we have such bloody bastards as leaders.
And there is so much talk of railway line, Karachi to Peshawar one and it is one of the main projects, even that was cancelled. I think this report needs to be checked.

Hattar sez already exist compared to concept of Mardan sez. KP gov should continue to work on Mardan sez and investment will eventually come. As far as I know only SEZ in Gwadar is new. In punjab they are just going to make existing SEZ in Faisalabad part of CPEC.

Looking at Hattar location right on border of punjab and few KM away from Islamabad, it was money grab by KP gov. They knew plots will sell quickly there.

Haripur is developed both education and industry vise. Need of the hour was to go for rashakai. And no its more near to nowshera then mardan. This rashakai SEZ will boost economy of less developed districts like nowshera, mardan, swabi, malakand and buner. Which is a huge boost to province. But then again it isn't the point. The points was that if we are talking about rashakai SEZ from last 2-3 years in every report. Then federal ask to conduct a feasibility study for Rashakai SEZ. KP do so as well as even buy land. So that work can be started quickly. I am wondering how the hattar even came into discussions ? As some days ago they (federal) said Chjnese lauded KP's extensive work on Rashakai SEZ in a meeting. It seems someone is deliberately working to make it controversial. Also to note, even Ahsan Iqbal supported KP's stance. As KP is right here.

The KP government informed the meeting that it had acquired 1,000 acres for the Rashakai Economic Zone, Nowshera. The site is located along the motorway and KP wants to set up fruit, food packaging, textile, stitching and knitting industries. It was reported that KP had completed the feasibility study of the SEZ that was under review of the chief minister

This news is from a meeting held on 4th july between Chinese and Pakistani officials. So why the hell hattar now ?

Since Pakistan has imposed fines on Nawaz Sharif's property and Ashaq Dar's property etc this mess of Sabotaging CPEC has commenced.

This came inline with news that RAW has allocated 500 million for anti information campaign against CPEC

Example of Misinformation
Some misinformation was spread on local Pakistani News papers , that China has declined financing for Bhasha Dam , then 1-2 Days leter other news emerged from China that Chinese authoritizes denied any knowledge of such action

• Hard to tell what is real vs fake as on the Official site the projects are still marked as active projects

Is the misinformation spread on CPEC , part of the 500 Milion dollar campaign which Pakistani Military was talking about

• Perhaps it has to be examined if these projects are being just delayed till future date or they have been scrapped completely

• Stopping Karachi Railway project
• Stopping KPK Railway proposal
• Stopping Bhasha Dam , against a massive issue
• Stopping of Gawadar airport
• Confusion on Location of KPK industrial project
