if india fly su 35 it will be obvious its nuclear .
it can only be effective as deterrent but not for delivering the weapons.
also in pre emptive strike enemies can concentrate on bases housing these air craft

It will be obvious that they are for delivering WMD's!but i dont know why you'd think that they are inefficient for this role.In case of pre-emptive strikes,i doubt whether our adversaries would know for sure where our second-strike elements are housed at.

I don't think stealth is a requirement for SFC otherwise it would be mentioned. MOD won't accept another type of strings-loaded 5G fighter that too just 40 as a separate command. If stealth was indeed the requirement, then MOD will press SFC to wait for FGFA till 2018.

I am still strongly supportive of getting Su-35BMs if SFC cannot wait for PAKFAs to join their ranks. Those birds are seriously LETHAL: they have huge payload capability, AESA option and share similarity with MKIs making our work easier. Su-34 is also a secondary option. But I don't see another more reasonable option and certainly not Rafale.

The problem with stealth fighters in this regard is the weapon bay, because they often have very limited space, which makes it not possible to carry big weapons internally. My guess is if a stealth fighter in this role, than it have to be a stealth UCAV!

So you want the fighter that Russian airforce uses in the air superiority role, in SFCs for this role and don't want the real strike fighter that the Russians developed specially for the strike role, the Su 34?

Su 35 would be the worst choice with single seat config only, so pilot has to do a lot of work, while concentration on the real strike mission and don't forget that this is even the most important strike mission!
That alone makes the Su 34 (seat by seat config), or even our MKI (tandem seat config) preferable for such a role, not to mention that the Su 34 has specialised avionics for low level and terrain following flights.

In general the MKI will be able to do this role too, however it's big RCS will always be a problem for preemtive strikes and that's why Rafale would be a good choice. Hard to detect, excellent EWS and passive avionics, available in tandem config and specialised for the nuclear role too. What else can we want in this role?

i meant not as effective as other aircrafts like rafale and also if they see su 35 they can scramble as much as possible to intercept knowing that its nuclear.

french are not as reliable as russians to indians.they are keen to sell products to china and pakistan.what we want is if we buy rafale then france should cease all deals with china and pak.rafale is ruly omnirole aircraft which surpasses typhoon in some areas.even they are ready for full TOT with supplying all kind of aircraft codes.french already said they are looking for or than buyer,customer relationship with india.
India does have other option i.e. typhoon but its aesa radar is in still development mode moreover most of countries involved in development of typhoon are also interested in f-35.so after coming of f 35 they might not be interested in upgrading typhoons so we shud go for rafale

Nothing but the Rafale: The SU-30 MKI is mainly an air superiority fighter, it is meant for defending, or to provide cover. While it does have the capability to strike deep inside Pakistan, it is much more vulnerable to detection, being a heavier, bigger aircraft. With a high RCS it doesn’t really fall into the stealth category. The Eurofighter while being extremely stealthy and a great dogfighter, is not a great air to surface weapons delivery platform. The F-16 & The FA-18 super hornet have to be kept out of the SFC hangars I’m sure, considering that Pentagon is never, in all practical sensibilities, going to allow us to use them for Nuclear weapons delivery. MIG 29 is an old platform, already running out of steam and probably spares too. I don’t think anyone is interested in buying a MIG nowadays. Infect after the merger, Sukhoi is not even interested in selling them. The Rafale is the Knight in shining armor. It is a proven ground attack platform, it has the best avionics, ECM and ECCMs, It’s soon to get a top rated AESA. The cockpit is a pilot’s dream. It’s proven its mettle in Afghanistan, and guess what, has a carrier version too, just in case we start drooling…

For nuclear delivery Accuracy is least bothered while dropping bombs. Its better to buy them 40 rafale/eft now and later we can replace them with FGFA and give rafale/eft to IAF after 2025.

I think the obvious choice will be Su30 and the new batch of 40 which cost around EF, i thin its for strategic command. Also we don't want a specific fighter for this command otherwise it could be easily made out in case of war.
