Have to give credit to Dassault's marketing team, they work on overdrive, painting routine jobs seem futuristic. They call providing air cover over Timbuktu as "daring". Name one fighter bomber in the world that could not have done that successfully, given the nature of Timbuktu's non existent air defence. Name one fighter from the 80s that could not have done that.

The point is that

a super hi fi stealthy bomber like B2 is used in afghanistan which also has no advanced or air defences along with B52 even if B52 can also do the job alone .

exactly in Mali not only rafale but other french plane were also used for that mission .But Rafale spearheaded it .

Yea, but you don't hear Northrop Grumman calling those B-2 missions over Afghanistan as "daring", and advertising it as some great feat. Which is what dassault is doing with rafale.

B2 is not for sale that they would beat it's drum as bleeding edge , cutting edge .Irony is even so called F35 has not even undergone a single mission , it is marketed heavily by US

Meanwhile Rafale is for sale & desperately want to prove it's so called buyers / interested buyers that it is a mature & flexible platform it can perform anywhere in the planet in desert , frozen alps or tropical mountains .

Well every country does have some marketting jingoism

like EF 2000 partner grouo says it can take down F22 or Pakfa or J20

so u cannot blame only the french
