Rafales will be game changer only if we have it in good numbers.
No doubt it was the best of the lot that India tested including F 16IN, Mig 35 and others.
36 of those will not be sufficient for a 2 front war.
I think India might go with one American fighter in the near future, just for the sake of diversity and relationships with USA.
Su 30 MKI is still a very potent aircraft but only of upgraded.
They were cutting edge from early 2000s to mid 2010s but are being a bit outdated by aesa radars and modern BVR missiles.
A good upgrade package consisting of radar, EW and missile upgrades will surely make it top notch again.

the topic is how will pakistan answer the threat of the world's best late 4th generation fighter frances magnificent dassult Rafale.

there's,only 36 but combine these as Force multiplier with 45 mirage2000 dash 5 and 260 plus,mki that's a serious threat

or 4 Rafale 4 mirage2000 and 4 tejas

The future always looks so rosy and glorious in your post. IAF is getting Rafales, right? Not F-22 Raptors.

Mirage-2000 is used primarily in strike role. Mig-29 didn't show up recently and numbering around 60, they cant show up everywhere. Tejas wasn't seen in the skies during combat days.

The 270 SU30MKIs were considered enough to throw PAF off-balance by analysts and internet warriors. PAF has to and will match Rafale's tech some way or another, be it through a newer block of JF-17 or a new aircraft or through F-16 and the western goodies that come with F-16.

There is so much dependency on a weapon platform, why ? The statements that started coming out of India talked about Rafale, nothing about pilots or training standards or combat doctrine or combat preparedness.

Which is that cricket channel where India never loses a match ? Star Gold ? Star cricket ? Just like that channel where only those matches are aired which are won by India, the paper analysis will always portray IAF a much bigger threat once again due to Rafale.

All this "game changer " term reminds me of T-34 in WW2 which tilted the balance of war in Soviet favor, but T-34s were locally produced and numbered thousands. They were replaced easily.

So while all stats look really spectacular on paper, the future is uncertain.

but adding Rafale is nothing but s really boost in indian options no matter how hard,we try to down play it's arrival in indo pak scenario.

I'm.sure any induction of block 70 f16 would have 50 different threads by Pakistanis with equal glee
