Egyptian defense minister visited Italy today to purchase the 2nd FREMM , Egypt will get 1 French FREMM (Probably Normandie or Provence) and will get another FREMM from Italy

There can be an agreement if the govt find an agreement and pressures the banks,but due to the economical situation in Egypt,they're (the banks and even the govt...) so reluctant and still think that that's impossible.
Do you think that a GCC country can gives the money to Egypt,then Egypt can reimburse.. ?

As far as I'm aware the political establishment and the Armed Forces want the deal to go ahead and I think we have a memorandum of agreement signed. I'm not sure there's any other way around the financing issue. We will see what happens, either way if it doesn't happen Egypt will find a replacement and that in the end will reflect badly or will be a disappointment for France.

I hope it goes through though.
