Question about Jinnah....

If Muslim League was being funded by British , then probbly when British would have divided the assets of India they would have given more money , more territory , and certainly mroe "GREENER" areas.


When I examine the maps, of geography I always wonder how did Muslim League Agree to getting barren areas where there was no farming or water..

Well get your glasses , cos you need to examine better...

They did give you the most fertile chunk of the Indian subcontinent, it's your fault that you couldn't hold it together... If you do look at the map the most fertile punjab agri land, and the ganges delta went to pakistan, Strategically India was given a nightmare scenario with constant two sided potential conflict...

Don't worry we also have same view that freedom was attained with out Congress or other parties . Those banyas were just eating cookies and drinking tea with British ..

Reality is - Freedom was attained due to world war 2 not as much as the movements if there was no war , I doubt England would have given anyone FREEDOM as we call it now

Because Congress didn't let it happen, British main focus making League and congress to reach an agreement, the current area of Pakistan was suitable for cold war against Soviets. Muslim League was defeated in NWFP but still it became the part of Pakistan.

What fertile Chunks are you talking about, wasn't Punjab plains and Gangetic delta enough for you.

If we are discussing politics, I am more than happy to discuss Nehrus policies, What's the point in discussing Nehru's personal life based on specualtions, or Jinnah's drinking and eating habits, do they affect their political stands... I dont think so... Hence lets base discussions on content and not conjecture...

Show me one evidence that Muslim League fought for independence from British rule.
The only thing they did was to fight with Congress, first for power and then for separate country when it became evident that Congress was succeeding in winning independence.
There is evidence that Muslim league was being funded by British. Jinnah used to get a stipend from British via Nizam of Hyderabad.

This was part of The Great Game that was played by the British, and later joined by US, after WWII. They wanted a pliant state which was close to the central Asia to check the soviet expansion. They knew India under Congress would never support this. Breakup of India and creation of Pakistan who was on the western camp of the cold war suited the Anglo-Saxon powers.

@Leader Muslim League had full support of British otherwise how NWFP where League lost the election and Pashtun boycott of the referendum ended up the part of Pakistan. NWFP underwent referendum because Muslim League lost the election there but not in Sindh, Bengal or Punjab.

Actually British tried to give them 1/3 share in everything for 20% of the population. All those Muslims never became the part of Pakistan.
