ISLAMABAD: The educational activities have once again been suspended in Quaid-e-Azam University located in the federal capital after students went on a strike on Monday.

The administration section of the university has been locked as students said the academic activities have been put on hold for one day in protest.

Students also said they will continue their boycott of the classes until their demands are met.

Earlier on October 24, the educational activities were restored in the university after 20 days of closure with security men deployed inside the campus as detained students were released from police detention. –SAMAA

Sad. Just look at firstly, few were found with drugs I think and law enforced then comes protest to recall those of being found guilty involved against academic activities. What does these students want like no classes or more drugs? Their parents need to called upon and should briefed in detail and also, the name of culprits should be put in a list that such & such student cannot qualify for next level/class until & unless visible change of behaviour and consisting in attending lectures classes for certain period of time like 2 or more years. The punishment will actually place them in right place that sometimes, students take advantage unnecessarily.

There should be a ban on ethnic and political parties in universities they only create problems they dont encourage healthy competition.Students of rival groups actually threw each other off buildings during a fight

Exactly, rather than utilizing the permission for having student groups as those were meant to create a healthy and productive environment, actually political parties started to use them as a force for protest being youth. Looking at the quality of political parties and their take, the party which is involved in any anti academic or law activities, need to be banned immediately. The power of student which should have been more beneficial is actually all left to work in elections, protest & road blocks while mainly engaging other students for mere membership and future voting. The aim for having these groups is actually gone vanished and is more malafide in its intention.

Ban them all especially Jamiat all they do is create issues where there are none

I fear the day when they would control our institutions

Mostly of them or I would say, almost every party is being involved as such. Youth with hot heads and less sense of patience, actually is being driven off the track. However, found Jamiat more academic as compare to others but when it comes to student clash, aah.... what to expect.

I fear the day when they would control our institutions

Hence, the reason my friend. These groups or student parties are actually misled and deliberately being misused contrary to right cause. Having such academic environment, pursuing the party agenda even if it is incorrect and then resulting into a future politicos breed that we cannot expect a better one than the existing caliber.

ANY DETAILS?

I got a friend who did MBA from Quaid-e-Azam uni, us say bhe pochon ga :P

Student politics is DEAD compared to what it used to be. They wont be coming any where near ruling our institutions. Jamiat is the last remaining part that have some foot print in universities but that too is no longer as influential as it used to be.

BTW, Student bodies if kept non-political and put to use for something good are EXTREMELY capable and can contribute a LOT. I have myself been part of such a structure. We also went on a strike for 4 months in our final year but that was for a cause and eventually, we ended up achieving what we were after. Today our university is 10 times better funded and equipped compared to what it used to be and it was a couple of months back that i went to Uni for a meeting (as business representative) and the VC pointed me out (since it was may batch) and recognized that it was the struggle made by this batch that the university is what it is today. So in short, JUST LIKE EVERY GOD DAMN THING, this too have a positive and a negative side.

It's my brother's university .
Us sa pochoo tu ka kya masla haa akhir!!

. .
You know something is wrong when a student political group has a baton-armed faction named 'Thunder Squad' hahahhaha
