what real history? if you read kk aziz or mubarak ali they mostly make a mountain out of a molehill. and talk about non-issues. besides, every govt does this. it is essential to build a national narrative. do israelis teach their children that they are committing atrocities and are land grabbers? do indians do that for hyderabad, kashmir etc? this is a foolish argument.

no it isnt. most of the teachers in unis and colleges deliberately teach this kind of stuff. a person who has learned nothing but this from FSc/A'level to post grad will not grow out of it. a lot of lefty/commie teachers populate lums, iba, qau etc. there should and must be a code of conduct in place for selection of teachers.

Mocking the founding fathers of the country is patriotism? That might make sense for India because nobody liked Ghandi or the Indian congress in general but it doesn't make sense for Pakistan.

Our government have been sleeping for last 50 years. What have they done for poor people? What have they done to reduce poverty? Have they done anything for job creation? Setup new industries? they have done nothing for public, only corruption, stealing development funds and RandiBazi in Dubai and UK.

When I heard a military fellow call Quaid e Azam “Fatima ka Bhai” I knew the rot was settling in. There is an active “cool” movement in urban universities to just critique for the sake of criticism but also to disagree with fundamental values for Pakistan. In essence a very “international muslim” as put by Dr Ashfaq once is the accepted cool now. Most of these folks don’t understand the nuances but much as the cancel culture is taking over the world these students too are eager to be part of this “liberation”. This polarization will only get worse with the extremes on the TLP side and this variety both of them will eventually want nothing to do with Mohammad Ali Jinnah or Allam Iqbal and more to do with a foreign inspiration or some half baked mullah.

Agreed - but if the barrier to entry to talk on Pakistani history is not liking your curriculum’s history book tu phir har jahil ko lage rehen do.
