On January 24, 2017, from the airport of the company Dassault Aviation had been performed the new series of flights of the built for Qatar Air Force fighter Dassault Rafale – the two-seater Rafale DQ (serial number DQ01).

According to defens-aero.com and after observing the photographs, the Qatar Air Force decided to equip itself with the sight of new helmet-mounted display systems. The system called Targo 2 and developed by Israel’s Elbit Systems.

The Targo solution enables pilots to plan, rehearse, fly and debrief using their personal helmets, providing them with increased situational awareness, safety levels and operational abilities. Targo is available in a stand-alone configuration or fully integrated with the aircraft’s avionics, including the Embedded Virtual Avionics (EVA™) training solution.

Rafale fighter jets for Qatar significantly differ from those of the Air Force of France and Egypt, therefore, they will undergo extensive and continuous testing program.

The contract amounting to 6.3 billion euros was signed on May 4, 2015, and foresees the delivery of 24 fighter aircraft Dassault Rafale (18 single-seat Rafale EQ and six two-seater Rafale DQ) to Qatar, as well as missiles air-to-air MICA IR, MICA EM, and Meteor. It also envisages the supply of cruise missiles SCALP-EG and guided bombs, GBU, and AASM. Qatar Air Force should receive the first fighter Rafale in mid-2018 as the pace of deliveries will be one plane per month.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Leaders of EFW Inc., a defense electronics company in Fort Worth, Texas, bought the military helmet display and tracker products line of Honeywell International Inc. of Morristown, N.J.

EFW is a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. in Haifa, Israel. EFW acquired the assets of Honeywell's Display and Orientation Products business for approximately $14 million, the companies announced Dec. 28.

Honeywell's helmet-mounted display products were part of the company's Business, Regional and General Aviation business headquartered in Glendale, Ariz.

EFW is acquiring the military helmet display and tracker products activities performed by Honeywell at facilities in Minnesota and Georgia, primarily for attack helicopters of the U.S. Army and related customers. This acquisition complements Elbit Systems' capabilities in helmet-mounted systems for fighter aircraft, Elbit officials say.

Elbit is involved in a wide range of defense-related airborne, ground, and command, control and communications programs throughout the world. The Company focuses on upgrading existing military platforms and developing new technologies for defense applications.

Your pod are good but not the best, or maybe among the best, as for anti air system, Israel is not the best either. (and it's also a new thing in Israel)

To be the best you have to proove it, with time by actually "using it" either way, it's just " MAYBE" the best... time will tell
