Qaddafi was/is one of the good guys, atleast to the people he ruled. Sure the dude was quirky and strange, but the facts(which the NATO media carefully leaves out) speak for themselves - the guy uplifted Libya into being one of the best countries in Africa.

In oppulence and comfort, one does tend to stop adhering to right/wrong, and there are things Gaddafi can be blamed for, he isn't perfect. For example, his son and named successor Saif-ul Islam have an Israeli girlfriend, and Gaddafi did propose solving Israeli terrorism in Palestine by creating a secular state there that appeased to western ideals. But I guess they're learning now that you can't get away by trying to appeal to the west or try to journey down two very different roads at the same time(Islamic revivalism and Western secularism).

I hope Muslims world over remember Gaddafi and Libya in their prayers. In Pakistan, we've seen how damaging these puppets can be that the west installs. Our current Mr. Z has literally wrecked the economy and everything, and despite being deeply unpopular he remains in power, with the west on his back.
