Friend Punjabis ie Rajputs, Jatts and Gujjars , Sindhis mainly Rajputs and Kashmiris are classified as Indian peoples. Yes races like Awan, Syeds, Abbasis are of Arab origin among Punjabis.

There is a book on Jats and other races of the subcontinent where they have specifically been mentioned. Over a period of 1000 years, they are now indistinguishable from the local populace though.
