At the time of independence, Punjab bore the brunt of partition. No other province of (present day) Pakistan was bifurcated. Why Punjab every time ?

No doubt Punjab faced troubles during partition. But does that mean we should continue suffering? Dividing Punjab in to three smaller provinces will be better for everyone.

1. South Punjab will get the funds and attention it deserves.
2. North Punjab will get the funds and attention it deserves. Currently both these regions live in the shadow of Central Punjab and Central Punjab in turn lives in shadow of Lahore.
3. Other provinces have legitimate concerns about resource distribution. One unit (Punjab) in the federation has about 50% of the total population. This is not healthy by any means.
4. Democracy has to deregulated to grass roots level on urgent basis.

Why I have a feeling all these people who are very big on dividing punjab ask it because they want their own provinces to be divided along ethnic lines, like muhajirs, hindkis etc? A division that is non-existent in punjab apart from fake seraki identity invented in 80's.

Do not depend on punjab to divide other provinces.

Resource distribution will not change even if you divide punjab in to 9 divisions. If anything new provinces will need to be accommodated with equal representation in CCI, senate etc Then the usual cry will start again, trust me. This is why JUI-F want FATA to be separate province because they rather have their own representation in senate, CCI etc which are on equal basis in Islamabad then through Peshawar.

A more reasonable structure would be conversion of all divisions into provinces of all provinces

Only if 2 party system exist and everyone is divided. Like USA system it will mean giving up ethnic politics which are dominant in all provinces but punjab. Instead of that it will be more regional basis and federal. In current system it will be impossible to get 10 provinces on board for anything. I already have explaned how PTI could easily form gov in Islamabad without punjab. Even in punjab N-league won 105 seats out of 148. Now check out ratio of N-league seats in Hazara division n KP, 17-1. Hindkis love Nawaz Sharif more then people of punjab and only reason for that is ethnic politics in KP, ANP etc

We wont need a separate parliament the provincial setup will be downsized(a cm and few ministers who will have same size constituencies as NA seats) for a more active local body system

Not really, do you think MQM-PPP-ANP fight in Karachi because of punjab? They pretend punjab is problem when actual problem is their ethnic politics and the fact they can't get along. Same in KP between hindkis and ANP/pashtuns. Baloch vs pashtun in Balochistan. It will not change because ethnic politics with in other provinces have little to do with punjab which is only province relatively homogeneous and free from all this BS.

Make districts provinces its easy solution to complex problem.

Every district should be province directly under the central government , make Pakistan presidential democracy.
Presidential system is less vulnerable to corruption and hijacking.

Nope barey sobay ney zulm kiya and shit like that when we have small provinces inter-provincial competition between same ethnic provinces will lead to a decrease in ethnic sentiment people will actually focus more on issues
Do you really think without qouta and funds manjan mqm can really sell the mazlom card?It will become harder to sell after a radical change in our nation,s administrative bodies

Same in KP between hindkis and ANP/pashtuns

That movement is good as dead as more it had a spark with ANP in power but with PTI its kind of losing that flare it once had
