here are a list of countries china stepped in and help

korean war
vietnam war
srilankra war
when the west imposed sanction on zimbawi sudan iran china stepped in and help now those country is more or less back on their toes

Maybe if The US doesn't listen to China to stop the drone attacks, than they WILL make US pay the 33 TRILLION DOLLAR debt it owes to CHina:cheers:

you are talking about 33 trillion dollar dept, but let me tell you that china is america's second biggest trading partener, and by seeing the size of american economy itself you can imagine how many dollar's might china be earning out of having trade with america. If china make's america clear those dept's then the U.S will ban every single chinese product exported to america under some pretext,in response, this can cause some real damage to the chinese economy.I don't think china will risk it relation's with a big trader like U.S just to stop drone attack's in pakistan.

 If you ever been to U.S. you would know that almost everything has a "Made in China" label on it. There is no way on earth U.S. will ban Chinese products, theres just too many of them, and where is U.S. going to get those products with the same quality and quantity, India?

I know that the american market's are flooded with some really cheap chinese product's,due to which the american product's are not being sold, this has caused the american companie's and american economy a great loss.though chinese product's are cheap but they are low quality one's ,even our market's are flooded with such product's.So all i am trying to say is that this give's america good oppurtunity to ban chinese product's and do a lot of good to thier own american companie's,by this a lot of job's will also be created in america. This is same reason why america is wanting to have good ties with india so that it can sell it's unsold product's in india, because india is a potential consumer market with nearly 50-60 crore potential consumer's.And the chinese understand this very well so they will never give america a oppurtunity to ban thier product's by asking them to stop drone attack's on pakistan or asking them to pay thier dept's.China is gaining more by having trade with america ,so i don't think it will mess it up just for pakistan.

China offers to soften terms for investment in Punjab

BEIJING: Chinese Communist Party office-bearers, government officials and banking heads have assured Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif of their full cooperation in various nation-building sectors.

In their meetings with the chief minister here on Tuesday, the Chinese leadership also expressed its willingness to investment in joint ventures on Pakistan’s own terms, says a government handout.

They said that progress of Pakistan and the people of Punjab were very dear to China. Chairman Export and Import Bank of China, Li Rougu, talking to the visiting delegation, said there was no legal hindrance for Chinese financial institutions in direct investment in any province of Pakistan and his bank was ready for softening its terms for investment in infrastructure, energy and other sectors in Punjab.

He also assured cooperation of his bank for Rawalpindi Ring Road, southern section of Lahore Ring Road and construction of small dams for power generation in Punjab.

The chief minister, speaking on this occasion, said China had added a new chapter to Pak-China friendship by softening its terms for investment in Punjab. He said that China had helped Pakistan at every critical juncture of its national life but unfortunately Pakistan had not fully benefited from Chinese friendship and cooperation otherwise it would have stood on its own feet and would have not been dependent on the will of others in evolving its policies.

He said China was the only country which had helped Pakistan regardless of any specific terms and conditions. He said in the backdrop of the existing food security problems in the world, Chinese cooperation with Pakistan in livestock, fruit and other crops especially wheat would be in its own interest.

The chief minister also met Chairman China North Industry Corporation, Zhao Gang for the launching of mass transit project in the provincial metropolis.

Shahbaz said urban rail project for resolving the transport problems of the people of Punjab was his dream and he was fortunate that it was being translated into reality with the cooperation of brotherly neighbouring country of China. The chairman of the corporation announced that his company would take no profit on Lahore Mass Transit Project.

Later, addressing a function, arranged by Chinese Institute of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said the lofty status achieved by China in the world under the policies of Communist Party had falsified the common and popular notions of liberal democracy and the clash of civilizations and it was undeniable fact that the 21st century and the future belonged to China.

The chief minister spent an extremely busy day in Beijing Tuesday. He travelled standing with the common Chinese for 45 minutes in the underground train of China and got information from the Chinese workers and students regarding the subway system and allied facilities.

A Chinese student requested him for a photograph. Shahbaz asked the student if he knew him. He replied in the affirmative and said, “You are leader of the Punjab and the future prime minister of Pakistan”.

Speaking at a meeting with the Chinese officials and investors, the chief minister said whenever the proclamation on the part of Chinese investors was made that they would not get profit on their investment in Punjab or they would reinvest the money earned from there instead of taking the same back home, he felt as if someone was enthralling him with his melodious voice. On the announcement made by China North Industry Corporation Chairman Zhao Gang that no profit would be taken on the investment on Lahore Mass Transit Project, the chief minister stood up and saluted him.

The chief minister said urban rail project for resolving the transport problem of the people of Punjab was his dream and he was fortunate that it was being translated into reality with the cooperation of China.

In his presidential address, Cai Jiabao, chief of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs’ said it was his responsibility to extend hospitality to foreign delegations and it was for the third time that he was playing host to Shahbaz Sharif and his delegation and the schedule of which went without shopping and recreational programmes. He said this might not be pleasing for the members of the delegation but this gesture was seen with applause in China.

Talking to Chairman Export and Import Bank of China Li Rougu, Shahbaz Sharif said China was the only country which had helped Pakistan regardless of any specific terms and conditions. He said in the backdrop of the existing food security problems in the world, Chinese cooperation with Pakistan in livestock, fruit and other crops especially wheat would be in its own interest.

Pak-China relations

One cannot more agree with what Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said in his address at Beijing on Monday about the help and cooperation that China has extended whenever Pakistan stood in need of it. Besides, his observation that Pakistan today was facing daunting challenges of a nature it had never met before and thus badly needed the assistance of its Chinese friends to bail it out is equally unquestionably correct. Mian Shahbaz, currently visiting China at the head of a 20-man delegation that includes industrialists and businessmen, would be signing an MoU for a hydel power project and, possibly, striking some other deals as well. He visited China’s largest bus manufacturing company where he revealed that the first batch of 300 Chinese buses would reach Lahore within the next nine months. It was also agreed, during the discussion held with the Chinese transport entrepreneur, that new and comfortable buses would be introduced in various other cities of Punjab with Chinese cooperation. It is no secret that the existing commuting facility in Punjab as well as the country is highly inadequate and the growing population is increasingly rendering the problem more serious. Thus, the availability of an affordable transportation facility would constitute a big step forward in relieving the worries of the commuting public. Mian Shahbaz stressed that Pakistan attached great importance to the development of commercial relations between the two countries, saying that he was not looking for aid from the Chinese friends. He called upon the local business community to come forward and make investment in Pakistan. While underlining the acute shortage of power in the country, he was sure that Beijing could do a lot in developing this sector. It is highly satisfying that while the US to whom we are extending unstinted cooperation in the war on terror is not willing to help us in the field of nuclear energy, China intends installing more nuclear power units at Chashma. Our future, no doubt, lies in close friendship and understanding with Beijing.

A fascinating development - the word once was that Pakistan is one country with 4 governments, now it is also a country with multiple foreign policies as well., Federal and provincial -- even more interesting is how Chinese government views this development.
