Pukhtoons first and Sikh later

whom else did i blame in the first place ..and why do you wish to support him ...how do you feel when someone asks you weather you are smoking in reply to your very first post ...please stop it ....indian reporter stated that right ...how much weight does it carry ..not as much as a FORMER PRESIDENT RIGHT(refering to musharraf) ...be kind to me and expect the same kind of treatment from me too

oh yaar sorry if i offended u i wasnt trying to but ur post was confusing and didnt make sense anyway its clear they are right at home in pakistan geez ur a bit sensitive ehh

.
from the looks of it ur post had nothing to do with the topic and stop trying to be so politically correct their safety comes first. no its because if they are in danger it would be suitable to move them to a place where they are the large majority, if they are getting threats from the general population then its not safe but as it is they have been treated as their own and are facing the same dangers as everyone else

there are more muslims in india than in pakistan and there are more muslims in indonesia than inindia ...hence can we transport all af them to indinesia where there are more number of muslims as majority ....you know the musharraf saga ...and how an INDIAN replied ...hence it would not be a revelation if he says he does not want to go to india ....i want to end this debate ...my last post in this thread

In otherworld’s, numbers don’t me squat when faced with the open persecution of a minority (not majority), we know how the tanners and "mass/macchi dar's are treated in India.

So please quit the righteous tone.

Comment on what? That Sikhs are patriotic and don't let their religion come in the way of the greater good? We already know that :)

And about pakhtun first, sikh later, pakistani first, pakhtun later but muslim first, pakistani later etc etc have been debated to death on other threads.

Hold your horses.

My opinion is:fantastic. I totally agree with them. But do all Pakistanis think the same way?

Similarly for Indian Muslims. Indians first, Muslims a long and distant second. That is essentially the ideal India strives for, can't say the same for Pakistan.

A few days ago your kind was harping over some distorted news published in an Indian news paper about sikhs wanting to migrate to India, it wasn't surprising none of you decided not to comment on this one, because it proves contrary to what many of you were trying to state here.
And what do you mean by do all Pakistanis think the same way, our sikhs not Pakistanis? Your question should have been like this do majority in Pakistan which happens to be Muslim think the same way, and the answer to that is yes they do. Just read the comments of many here you will realize.

My 'kind'? You don't know me so I suggest there's no point in trying identify my 'kind'.

I have made no comments about wanting Sikhs to migrate here. IIRC, if you go to that thread, I have said the opposite. I.e. they are Pakistan's business.

And what do you mean by do all Pakistanis think the same way, our sikhs not Pakistanis? Your question should have been like this do majority in Pakistan which happens to be Muslim think the same way, and the answer to that is yes they do. Just read the comments of many here you will realize.

I should have phrased this question better. No I did not imply that Pakistanis claim that these Sikhs are not fellow citizens.

I asked the questions of Pakistani Muslims vis a vis their self identity, i.e. how they define themselves.

To my knowledge, (a) There is a segment in Pakistan that believes that it is Muslim first, Pakistani second, (b) The Muslim identity is certainly a very important part of who Pakistanis think they are as a people and a nation. This is reinforced in almost every aspect that I read or see (TV/ Online) about Pakistan.

Given that, it is ironical that Pakistanis who fall in category (a) (at the very least) should take pride in Pakistani Sikhs stating that they are Pakistanis first. Even with (b), it makes for a considerable sidestep in conventional thinking.*

My position on my self identity has been very clear; my thinking, upbringing, education and socialization as an Indian makes me an Indian first, anything else second. Which is the reason I can appreciate the position that Sikhs in Pakistan have taken. For me too they are Pakistanis first.

Nb: I do not claim that the majority of people on this site think like this. My observation was more in general.

Off topic, but mass/ macchi dar's are in majority in India :) Popular canard I see :) yeah yeah one non vegetarian soldier = ...

And there's nothing hidden about the persecution of minorities in pakistan, the thread is about it.

.
btw i didnt start this thread coz of sikh first, pashtun first, muslim first etc etc... y i felt gud was that these ppl want to stay with us and are satisfied with how common pakistani treats them.
being a muslim and pakistani its my responsibility to take care of my minorities. and when i see them in pain i feel pain and vice versa

The Sikhs' response is a credit to Pakistan.

And believe me i am in mood to know you or your kind other then the flag that represents you.

I have made no comments about wanting Sikhs to migrate here. IIRC, if you go to that thread, I have said the opposite. I.e. they are Pakistan's business.

Did i say you did, i said your kind meaning Indians here did and there is a specific thread on this started by an indian and i have put it in reference.

You said Pakistanis and not Pakistani Muslims. Apparently you do have rephrased your question.

And where do you get that knowledge of yours from....Indian media?

Given that, it is ironical that Pakistanis who fall in category (a) (at the very least) should take pride in Pakistani Sikhs stating that they are Pakistanis first. Even with (b), it makes for a considerable sidestep in conventional thinking.*

Since your knowledge does seem limited on Pakistan, i'll suggest infact i'll recommend you to update that first before categorizing Pakistanis into (a) and (b) category.

My position on my self identity has been very clear; my thinking, upbringing, education and socialization as an Indian makes me an Indian first, anything else second. Which is the reason I can appreciate the position that Sikhs in Pakistan have taken. For me too they are Pakistanis first.

Glad to know.

Nb: I do not claim that the majority of people on this site think like this. My observation was more in general.

And my reply was to see around and you will get a general idea. Forum is a place to understand and that is why you and me are sitting here in order to communicate and understand the misconceptions. Hope you catch the drill here.
