PTI to fly solo in general polls, says Hashmi
June 05, 2012
KARACHI - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf central president Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Monday announced that his party was not interested in making electoral alliance with any party in Pakistan and Sindh for next elections saying that PTI would contest the next election from its own platform.
Talking to the media men outside the Jinnah International Airport Karachi, he warned that the PTI would stage a tsunami march against the government if they did not honour the Supreme Court verdict against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on contempt of court case.Hashmi alleged that President Zardari, PM Gilani and their aides were plundered the development funds, saying that now its the right time to remove these corrupt people from their slots.
Referring to the demands of creation of new provinces in the country, he said that PTI was supporter of formation of new provinces in the country but on administrative basis not on ethnic and linguistic basis. He said that peace in the country would not possible if new provinces were not created. He said that constitution is superior then anything but the present government had not followed the constitution and continuously violated it to continue its corruption.PTI is against the dual nationality and the person having dual nationality should not be the member of Pakistani parliament. People having dual nationality like Moin Qureshi and Shaukat Aziz had plundered uncountable national exchequer, he added.
Hashmi claimed that PTI was the only political party of the country, which has started the democratic process from the party, saying that Imran Khan and he (Javed Hashmi) were not able to appoint or replace anyone in the party office. To a query, he said that he was the supporter of open talks with MQM. The PTI has not any confrontation and dispute with the MQM but PTI was not interested in making electoral alliance with anyone in Sindh and the country.
He feared that if Zardari is elected in next term then only Allah can save the country.
PTI Sindh President Sardar Nadir Akmal Leghari said that PTI was against the division of Sindh and vowed that we would not allow creation and division of Sindh at any cost.
PTI central deputy general secretary Imran Ismail, General Secretary Sindh Hafizuddin and others were also present on the occasion.
