Sorry to interrupt. What you've posted is slander and an uneducated excerpt which is falsehood spread by Christan bastards. That story is distorted and false see link below, and hadith also, whereas Prophet PBUH said one should never punish by fire and only Allah can do it.

Story of Kinana's being subjected to exhortion and put to death for hiding some treasure, for which he had contravened his contact, is altogether a spurious one. Kinana was executed in retaliation for treacheriously killing Mahmud, the brother of Mohammad-bin-Moslama, to whom he was made over for execution. There is one tradition, without any authority, to the effect, that Zobeir was producing fire on Kinana's breast by the friction of flint and steel. This, if it be a fact, does not show that it was done by Mohammad's direction and approval. One the contrary, there are several traditions from the Prophet himself in which he has forbidden to punish any one with fire. It is related by Bokharee from Ibn Abbas, that Mohammad said, 'God only can punish with fire.' It is also related by Abu Daood from Abdullah, that the Prophet said, 'No body ought to punish any one with fire except the Lord of the fire.' [4]

Seerah Ishaq was compiled way before Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslims. Being closer to the period of the Prophet,Its arguably more authentic. All the early Muslims relied on the biography compiled by Ibn Ishaq to understand the life of the Prophet. The epistemology (isnad analysis) of hadith science is a deeply flawed field. You can't reject or accept a narration on the basis of isnad. For all we know, the isnad may be a later fabrication and in the best case scenario, it doesn't guarantee the people in the chain of transmission did meet each other in real life.

Let's assume it's a fabrication.

Why would Ibn Ishaq include it in his book, given its embarrassing depiction of the Prophet torturing prisoners to extract information. He ( and the countless scholars who relied on him for seerah) clearly believed it was authentic, not a mere hearsay. Using the embarrassment criterion, it's very likely a true story

Oral traditions were passed down, and he collected them. However, the important part, these weren't weeded out properly until Sahih Hadith's set the standard of what was and wasn't acceptable. So many narrations were from the Jews, and Isb Ishaq didn't have narrators for much of what he wrote down.

The Prophet said not to torture with fire; your information stated he did, so how can Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) contradict himself? He was executed due to a killing he did, and not for treasure as in the battle he was captured, the Prophet stated there would be no treasure and only slaves.
