Tribal leader of Khyber Agency joins PTI
PESHAWAR: A former candidate and influential tribal leader from NA-46 Khyber Agency, Haji Mian Gul along with supporters announced joining Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) after reposing confidence in its chairman Imran Khan.
He announced this decision in the presence of president PTI, Khyber Agency, Mohammad Iqbal Afridi during a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Haji Mian Gul of Tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency said he had been influenced by the bold stand of PTI chief on operation in tribal area.
He said that after quitting local organization, Khyber Union, he will play national level role in the progress and development of the country. He urged the people to vote Imran Khan for changing the destiny of Pakistan.
Haji Mian Gul had contested two general elections in 1997 and 2002 and remained runner-up in 2002 polls.
On this occasion, president, PTI, Khyber Agency, Mohammad Iqbal Afridi welcomed the entry of Haji Mian Gul into the party fold and pledged that his feelings never be hurt in the party and will be given due honour and respect.
