Islamabad, April 7 ( ) Imran Khans PTIs claim to field clean candidates appears to be a claim only as on some constituencies it has given a green signal to tainted candidates.
Chaudhry Mubashir Hussain of Gujrat is one such case in point.
The PTI is going to field Mubashir despite the fact he is defaulter of millions of rupees in the Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation case.
Mubashir and nd his family had struck a Plea Bargain with National Accountability Bureau after their company National industrial Cooperative Society was accused of corruption and corrupt practices of millions of rupees by NAB.
Since PTI member Mubashir is the relative of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the PML-Q president, and can be a potential candidate against former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Ahmed Mukhtar on NA-105, the PTI sees no harm in compromising its principles.
A PTI leader told Pak Destiny that a group led by Javed Hashmi was against awarding tickets to a single tainted politician. Be it Mubashir or Rashid Bhatti the PTI board should not consider awarding tickets to loan defaulters and criminals, he said. Bhatti has resigned after he was given no assurance of the ticket.
Imran Khan is critical of tax and loan defaulters, if a single candidate with dubious credentials like Mubashir is awarded PTI ticket only Mr Khan will be blamed for this, the PTI leader said. PTI MZ RHL
