So current ppp working for karachi? lol. Making new provinces meaning more focus on area. You cant control karachi alone and made whole sindh including karachi within as 1 province.

Armed forces have divided Punjab into 3 zones / areas regarding transfer / postings - North, Central, South

Similar concept needs to be applied while making new provinces from Punjab

The more provinces , the more chances of smaller / regional parties to come forward and represent at the national level to break the dominance of Khaandani politics of two major parties .

Also, more seats for more provinces that are carved out of Punjab, forcing / compelling other provinces to agree for a break up aswel otherwise, they would become a minority in the Senate.

A- Sindhis wont like it
B- Sindh as a province is not sustainable in its current form without the financial muscle of Karachi so even more poverty awaits
C- it'll scare off provinces from general migrations, ethnic makeup associated with it especially Baluchistan where both Punjabis and especially Pashtuns live in big numbers - so for them it'll represent that their areas can also be divided and Gwadar will be Karachi 2.0 and they wont receive any benefit associated with a port city
D- Hazara province demands in KP might grow after a successful provincial division (so you know it'll cause ripple effect)

So no as a package not good for the country and especially interior Sindh - Karachi needs 18th amendment within a provincial structure not another province
