PTCl intoduced FAIR USAGE POLICY for Broadband

bro looks like you didn't know much about ptcl broadband.there was full unlimited packages before this FUP.i was using around 400 gb to 500 gb data monthly without extra payment.
now advertisement their website is misleading.they should remove unlimited now.

i don't think there was ever unlimited 300 GB data limit on 4 mb package till i was using.

all PTCL packages are shit if you are using it on telephone line, better on fiber optics cable.

Freelancing doesn't require TB of data per month. I am a freelancer and I know how much 3 person system use data volume per month.

You are right generally it not requires such data but some people provide complex services which may required heavy software and some people play games and earn money by posting videos on youtube .Games may require high data for downloading online

For provision of IT services like freelancing one needs to download various types of softwares and their updates and they are bought online so I was referring to this.I agree that ptcl should impose limit for downloading movies and block download of other obscure content if they have capability to do this

I can't say how much online gaming will consume the data but there is no such software which uses that much high rate of data transfer.

Believe me, You will never cross 1TB in a month for doing free lancer work.

We hardly cross 120GB per month with 3 person network, where we do our work and stream video on youtube and iflex.

Also to the news. I think they should increase for under 20 mbps to 2TB and over 20 mbps to 4TB. Then its fine.

I dont know about totey but i do watch movies and tv shows downloaded via torrent and Netflix streaming.
You will get angry if you get something unlimited then suddenly they put a limit on it.
They should reduce the rates of packages because of fup

PTCL's connections are rock solid in main cities (i'd hazard they work fine in >90% of the city). I'm using 20mbps connections at home and 50mbps at the office; using 1tb / month data on my home and 4tb at the office (25 pax). No connection issues whatsoever. Never had FUP issues.

I know PTCL thing is there is and never was anything unlimited they advertise it like any webhosting companies does unlimited traffic etc there always will.be fair usage policy somewheee and 1 tera is more than enough

When your ISP you are getting unlimited data they cant add restrictions unless they update your contract with your consent if you dont want than wont make any changes until your contract expires than you can choose new ISP or if they can provide you similar services

Try downloading 4K content or uploading a 4k, 8k content
2 to 4 minutes clip is 1 gig , so if you are vlogger who is uploading 20 minutes of video daily in 4k ? You know when you will reach your data cap

Even if someone is downloading movies ? If they are using the right way who are you to stop and judge them ?
I download movies , tv shows via Amazon prime & Netflix and few other services ? How is that wrong i m paying for my services .
Usually 1 season of 4k tv show is around 30 to 50 ish gigs

Problem is PTCL is state run scam company , who is using bullying tactics instead of providing better services to its customers and majority of users dont have any other provider in that area so they dont have any other options

PTCL is shit when it come to after sale support. They never satisfied their customer and always issues. My home is one of that and we never received total bandwidth what they claim and since three month they didn't found the real problem for that issue and still in suffering in DHA phase 3 area

Have my office there.. and suffer PTCL.
