Featured Project Azm: Pakistan's Ambitious Quest to Develop 5th Generation Military Technologies.

While the forum thirsts for news of Project Azm, here are a few nice CGIs of a notional PAF FC-31 escorting a ZDK-03.

A true "Karakoram Eagle", if you will.

As i said u clearly have no idea about anything and i shouldnt waste my time on an imbecile with a desease of unfound self importance. lets say it like that, the fast leaps that the chinese took in aircraft design and manufacturing to rival western platforms are attributed to Paf to a certain percentage. lets leave it at that. ehl e aqal ke liye eshara kafi hota hai.

Is this the best you could come up with? Not that it is entirely unexpected. You can keep your imagination and foul mouth to yourself in your fantasy world. If Chinese have leapfrogged to where they are now in the aviation sector, its due to their hard unrelenting drive to buy, copy, steal if necessary, get help where they could and spend billions on dollars on research and development. PAF or Pakistan doesn't get to claim any part of that success, and I have not read otherwise anywhere. If anything, the opposite is true as its the Chinese that have helped us modernize PAC Kamra to be able to build the JF-17 and be able to get rid of 1960s era F-6s and A-5s, and in the coming years all of F-7s and Mirages.

As i said, u clearly know nothing and i have developed a strong knack for letting fools stumble on in darkness...

Anyone has any info on the powerplant for the 5th gen figher. Externally procured from RF, China, or a domestic effor?
I haven't been following ws-10 turbofan, but popsci Sep 2017 edition has reported success for ws-10.
Privately owned CASTC, according to the Global Times and People’s Daily, is producing world class single crystal turbine blades from rhenium-nickel superalloys used in WS10.
So a chinese powerplant may be chosen for project Azm.

Whatever gets chosen will be done after a lot of research as a failure in the project early on due to engine would have disasterous consequences. So a risk averse approach may be adopted. The Chinese may be getting there but have a fair bit of ground to cover and prove their products in the market before they are trusted in engine technology. So another five years would be a good time to review our options.

India has failed to get even 50% transfer of technology from Russia on pak fa and France on rafale and only two months ago Lockheed Martin said they would not part with cutting edge technology

This dispite Indian ready to spend upward of 15/20 billion dollars.

What India has learnt I'd no money can buy hi-tech aerospace technology.

So what amazes me about this pak claim is that Pakistan are being offered fifth gen technology and know how which has cost China billions of dollars and two drcich has tak

Yes, agree.
Turbofan engines are very complex technology because of so many nuances in the metullargy. Wish PAF approach AQ Khan and give him the task. His talents were lost.

Turkey search partners to develop engine all over the world, you can join in do the jv,it is good opportunity

Just saw an article on this AZM project

PAC looking to build a prototype by 2023
will be single engine has PAF has sighted requirement for low cost and fuel efficient
Because engine technology is so difficult to attain PAC looking at chinease engine
Also huge influence anf know how of chinease project engineers will be needed
work to be done at PAC (pak aeo complex)

Any way Prototype planned for 2023-2024

No mention of cost
is it 50/50 SINOPAK or all Pakistan project financially

Hi,

AQ Khan has no place in modern aircraft engine technology / metallurgy---. Now if it was about getting stuff on black market---again he is out dated now---.

You need a ' new dog ' to hunt for you---.

Who told you it will be a single engine plane ahahah, that's wrong dear, it will be a new dual engine plane. Single engine planes are outdated

You have never worked with scientists :)
Scientists have an approach, mind, and method. We are not talking about a retired clerk. He could have done a lot more, but I think he has retired from research work now.

And you were saying??:D
